Nickelodeon Slime Fun Foods Kits Offer Convenience and Quality | Incredible Novelties

Nickelodeon Slime

Slime is a squishy fun stuff to play. We used to make green substance with Teddy, but over the years slime making became more sophisticated. While the main ingredients stay the same, you can add many extras from colors, small accessories to sparkles, glow or glitter items, even shape the slime particular way to resemble some characters.

Nickelodeon Slime

While you can make slime at home using mostly household items, there are lots of recipes on-line, toy companies went further and created special slime kits. These kits make easier for kids to create and play with the compound.

Nickelodeon Slime

For example, Nickelodeon Slime kits we received to play with, offer the convenience and have everything to make slime. Using them you do need to worry about leftover glue, extra coloring or containers for your projects. Everything you need are included in the kits.

Nickelodeon Slime

Nickelodeon Slime Fun Foods offers fun opportunity to make food-looking slime. It feels as if you have a dough to make mint chocolate chip cookies or cupcakes. The kit has everything needed for that: white glue, slime activator, colourant, beads, fusion beads, mixing bowls and cups. Teddy likes the process of making slime because he has to measure the ingredients, put them together, mix, add cute decorations and watch how they become one new compound called slime. He feels like he leads a science experiment creating a new slime and adding food coloring and sprinkles.

Nickelodeon Slime

Second kit Nickelodeon Slime Sweet Slime Creations we had an opportunity to play is more sophisticated. This kit includes more ingredients to make super sweet slime creations like Cookie dough slime, Cake batter, Cotton candy swirl slime, Frosting & sprinkles slime or Confetti cake slime. Designed for kids ages 6 and up, it includes slime glue, slime activator, colorant, glitter, sprinkles, confetti, mixing bowls and cups. With more colorants we created different colors slime and combined them together to create layered food items.

Nickelodeon Slime
One thing I know our slime does not rest unnoticed, everyone wants to try to play with it, stretch,  make different shapes and even to throw like a ball to scare parents!

Nickelodeon Slime Kits are available at Toys R Us, Indigo, Canadian Tire and Independent Stores across Canada. Check our experience at Indigo Kids Nickelodeon Slime event:

My FUNvelope is Canadian Craft Subscription Box For Kids | #Crafts4Kids

MyFunvelope Ted

Crafting is fun activity for kids. This year we made lots of crafts with Teddy, inspired by popular TV shows like Super Mighty Makers and Property Brothers.

My FUNvelope is a Canadian craft subscription box designed for kids ages 3-9. Every month kids receive their My FUNvelope. It includes four unique craft projects that follow a fun monthly theme. It can be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Superheroes, nature and many other themes children like. Kids also receive a STEM activity to build.

MyFunvelope Ted

Usually Teddy does not receive anything by mail, sent especially for him except may be Santa's present. With My FUNvelope he is looking forward to getting one every month because this parcel intended only for him to build and play. You can recognize it right away because it comes in brand-name packaging!

MyFunvelope Ted

Our Fall Friends craft kit was a huge hit. It was perfect for our fall activities. From coloring page, drawing an owl to decorating picture frame and building a character. After the season is over, we keep everything for next year to decorate our house including a Pumpkin Patch direction sign.

MyFunvelope Ted

We liked that everything Teddy needed for his craft projects were included in his My FUNvelope including scissors and pencils. Previously our major disappointment with crafts was the lack of supply for a particular project. Or when we need just a few pieces of something, we have to buy the whole packaging which not only pricey but also not useful, like once we needed a coupe of green pom-poms, but we could get ones only if we buy a package with all colors pom-poms! With My FUNvelope, there is no need to worry about that, you get as much supply as you need for all your projects!

MyFunvelope Ted

Every My FUNvelope comes with detailed instructions on how to work on projects In English and French! Few projects Teddy finished himself without any adult's help and he was very proud of that.

My FUNvelope costs only $19 a month that includes free shipping and handling across Canada. You can subscribe for one, three, six months or one year. We like to have this option to choose. I think My FUNvelope makes a wonderful gift to a child for a birthday, holiday or any special occasion. For more information about the subscription and the theme packages, please visit https://myfunvelope.ca!

Foam Alive and Stretchy Sand With Endless Possibilities To Play | Incredible Novelties

Foam Alive

Foam Alive is a cool new toy we were introduced this fall. In October Indigo Kids hosted a special Halloween event to show kids Foam Alive products and Nickelodeon SLIME. That was fun experience digging through Foam Alive and finding little treasures.

Foam Alive

Foam Alive is a compound that comes to life when you play with it! Squeeze, make any shape out of it and compound slowly separates and starts to move like magic. It does not stop, and it looks like it is alive. Foam Alive is packed inside a plastic hourglass that allows to see the motion of the material when turning it upside down. It can be used as a storage container as well. It is fun exercise for hands and Teddy suggested that Foam Alive can be used as a good stress release. Compress Foam Alive repeatedly and then let it flow through your fingers. Squeeze it, mold this soft and fluffy substance and then watch how foam melts and un-shapes itself.

Foam Alive

It is available in three colors: Purple Pulse, Lava Lime, and Blue Blitz. If you mix these three colors - you can get festive flowing compound. This foam never dries out and probably creates a little mess when separates. But I like it comes dry and does not stick to the floors or a carpet. We can just pick the foam or vacuum little pieces. At Indigo Kids we learned funny game to play with Foam Alive! with kids called Treasure Hunt. You can place different little things or toys inside the tray with Foam and invite kids to find all the treasure items. It is actually lots of fun!

Foam Alive

Stretchy Sand is a new way to play with slime. It looks like a slime, can stretch and flow, but when you touch the compound, it feels like sand. The Sand has a unique texture, super soft and stretchy. You can squeeze, twist, separate it, then put back together and stretch! It is prefect for games, craft & art activities and pretend plays.  It allows you to use imagination and create various shapes! We had fun time playing with it as a dough, slime, a tester for science experiments, food, letters and even sea creatures. Possibilities are endless!

Stretchy Sand is prefect for kids and adults to use, it is non-toxic and can be used multiple times. The sand comes in a resealable tub that looks like a sand pail with a lid and a handler. When you finished playing just place your sand in the container till next time. Besides being fun toy to play Stretchy Sand can help reduce stress and anxiety! Just give it a try! Stretchy Sand is designed for kids ages 3 and up. It is available in four colours: pink, purple, green and blue.

These toys are sold online and in-stores Toys “R” Us, Indigo, Mastermind across Canada. The price for Foam Alive sets starts from $4.99. and Stretchy Sand is $9.99 for a tub.

Jeannie's Crab Lake Christmas by David Mulford Book Review | Brown Books Kids

Jeannie's Crab Lake Christmas

Winter is the magical season. When wild storms make the perfect frost-encrusted winter landscapes. Otters, hedgehogs, birds, deer and other animals get ready to face the cold. It means that Christmas time is very close. The woods are about to open a secret about the most festive time of the year. In the wilderness near Crab Lake nature tells a story about the most wonderful event which can happen only on Christmas!

Jeannie often visits Crab Lake during summer time, but this year she decides to come to the cottage in for Christmas. All the animals in the lake country are excited to meet Jeannie, because they often see her in summer.  Even bears and hedgehogs who hibernate in winter decide to greet Jeannie and postpone their sleep. And do you know the secret, animal can talk, but only in winter! This time they can tell Jeanine stories about their life and share how happy they to see her at the Crab Lake.

Once Jeanine arrives, animal greet her and invite to a special place in the woods where they celebrate winter season. There bear can dance, animals can sing and tell interesting stories. Deer arrive with a sleigh to take Jeanine. They move up and down hills, passing trees and bushes, fields covered with snow blankets. She realizes that Crab Lake is the most beautiful place she ever seen!

Once they arrived at the spot in the woods, the festivities start with cheer and joy. Bears start dancing, they sing their lovely songs. Then other animals join to the dance and tell their verses and stories of the woods. When animals can talk, it is easy for Jeanine to understand what happens in the lake country. Everyone is served delicious food at the celebration, I think hot honey punch flavored with chestnut and spices is a nice treat!

It is time to get back to the cottage for Jeannie. While the festivities are over the strongest friendship is built and fond memories about new friends the lady wants to share with other family members as they gather around the fireplace.

Jeannie's Crab Lake Christmas by David Mulford is beautifully written book with lovely illustrations. We were impressed how the author describes winter landscapes, nature and a forest. Teddy said you can feel and imagine that you stand outside in the middle of the woods surrounded by trees and forest animals. In the book you meet bear cub Pudgey and his family, kind Mr. Woodchuck, distinguished Bellknap Beaver, and the deer, the wolves, the cardinals, squirrels and many more. Enjoy the lovely holiday story and believe that animal can talk on Christmas!

About the Author
For David Mulford and his wife, Jeannie, Christmas would not be complete without their visits to the beautiful Wisconsin waters of Crab Lake. These magical journeys provide the inspiration for David's whimsical tales. In addition to writing, David has a PhD from Oxford University, serves as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University, and has enjoyed a long and notable career in international finance and diplomacy. Barbie Forever: Her Inspiration, History, and Legacy Book by Robin Gerber | #Barbie60

Frozen 2

Barbie is the most recognizable character in the toy industry. She debuted at the New York Toy Fair in 1959 and for 60 years continues to break boundaries, spark imagination and inspire generations of kids. Barbie influences and reflects the most significant moments on art, fashion and culture. She was created by Ruth Handler, co-owner of Mattel company. In new book Barbie Forever: Her Inspiration, History, and Legacy by Robin Gerber we follow a history of the iconic doll and how she influenced both children and grown-ups.

While everyone knows that first Barbie appeared in her iconic black-and-white striped swimsuit at Toy Fair in New York, few know that it took years for Ruth Handler and her team to come up with first iconic Barbie. Handler noticed that her daughter Barbara has a limited selection of dolls to play. Barbra preferred to play with cut-out paper dolls because they offered more opportunities for dress-up and changes. There was not any doll to give so many variations for pretend plays. Plus, cut-outs offered dress up based on activities and professions, so the idea was born, girls needed a real doll to play! The opportunity to create a doll was there but Ruth and her team stumbled upon what size the doll should be, how she should look like, adult or a kid. What about face, facial expression, body type, hair, make-up and many more questions including how ethical for little girls to play with an adult-looking doll. Those all took enormous efforts to decide, explore and fulfill ideas into real creation.

Frozen 2

The more you read the book, the more you realize how strong is Barbie's influence is over the years. Barbie doll changes, new designs, outfits and activities are added. Barbie has had over 200 inspirational careers including astronaut, pilot, firefighter, journalist, entrepreneur and many more. She became an astronaut before the real man walked on the moon. Barbie run for a president and became a CEO of the company. I think Barbie was always ahead of time and became a refection of the dreams little girls had and have. With Barbie you can be whoever you want, she is like a mini full-filer of your dreams and wishes. Just take a look how diverse and beautiful selection of Barbies these days. Over the years the company Mattel always listen to their customers, even little ones, what girls want, what inspires them, what their dreams are, what they want to be when grow up. Considering that Barbie is just a piece of plastic, but for us she is a connection between our dreams to reality, the connection to make the dreams come true! Everything you can imagine!

The book coves how Barbie influences art and fashion industry and sets up new trends. Famous brands and best fashion designers worked with Barbie and designed clothes and accessories for her and her family. In the book there are also stories about young girls and grown-ups who share their love for Barbie and even more, Barbie became their profession, passion and an essential part of their lives making it better, interesting and fun. They express their talents, wishes and dreams through Barbie.

Frozen 2

Barbie Forever: Her Inspiration, History, and Legacy book has lots of colorful illustration, photos and interesting facts from 60-year history of Barbie. At the end the book there is a fold-able brief history of Barbie from 1950 to 2019 with description of the major milestones.

Though Barbie turns 60 this year, she has no intention to stop to inspire generations making their dreams come true and supports them in every effort to find their talents and opportunities.

Join Sesame Street: 50 Years and Counting Celebration DVD Release | #ThisIsMyStreet

photo Sesame Street 50 yeard DVD_zpsrztimepd.jpg
Sesame Street: 50 Years and Counting DVD, Shout! Factory October release, combines the best moments, songs and episodes from Sesame Street's 50 years of history. Sesame Street has been entertaining and educating children for 50 years, gaining dedicated fans through the years from kids to grown-ups. The release comes as 2-disk set and over 5 hours of the greatest Sesame Street moments from yesterday and today.

It seems a lot watching 5 hours of Sesame Street, but with rainy and cold weather outside, two disk were just on time. We spent great time watching the episodes drinking hot chocolate with marshmallow and eating popcorn & sweet treats.

The fist disk features the most popular moments from Sesame Street existence, fan-favorite animations like "Ladybug Picnic" and "Pinball Number Count", new and classic songs from Kermit the Frog’s soulful "It’s Not Easy Being Green" and alphabet one "I Miss My X". The timeless interactions between children and the Sesame Street Muppets, new version of Rapunzel story and a funny re-make of  "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" into "A Cherry in a Pie"!

50 Years and Counting will also let fans revisit Sesame Street’s many unforgettable celebrity appearances like Patti LaBelle putting a glamorous spin on the alphabet song; Amy Poehler teaching the gang new vocabulary words; R.E.M.’s joyful rendition of "Furry Happy Monsters"; Ricky Gervais trying and failing to sing Elmo to sleep; and other guest appearances made pop culture headlines while embodying Sesame Street’s inclusive lessons and values.

The second disc is an exclusive collection of the most iconic "Street Story" segments from Sesame Street’s 50-year history. With help from kids’ favorite characters, the early childhood experts behind Sesame Street helped generations of families tackle big conversations through little moments like these: the neighborhood’s poignant farewell to Mr.Hooper; the dramatic reveal of Big Bird’s not-so-imaginary friend, Mr. Snuffleupagus; and the debut of Julia, the first Sesame Street Muppet with autism. The stories shows how face challenges and show real solutions to the problems. For example if you do not like something, someone's behavior, for example, you should explain it, not just ignore it. Or if you want to find new friends then go out, and tell others that you are looking for new buddies to play with.

Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary celebrates the timeless lesson that Sesame Street has always taught: everyone, no matter who they are or where they are from, is equally deserving of respect, opportunity, and joy. BAD DAY by Ruby Roth - How To Deal With Tough Times! | Children's Book

Bad Day book

Bad days happen to all of us. Everyone experiences tough times, even little ones. But what to do when you are feeling down? In the book Bad Day written by popular children's book author Ruby Roth, we follow the story of little boy Hennie. His day involves a cascade of things going wrong. First, he had a bumpy ride, lumpy sock, then it was getting worse, a lost spoon and upset stomach. Later, a yelling teacher demanding attention in her class and award fall in front of Hennie's classmates!

The boy wants to be alone to cope with his feelings. He is grumpy and dumpy, asking everyone do not disturb and stand out. Hennie draws an unhappy face on a paper bag and puts it on of his head. The struggles are real, the boy moves around the room trying to find peace and calm down. Then he tries to find solution to his frustration like disappearing for a year and exaggerating things. Then the boy walks through his bad day and realizes that he really had tough day and he should not be hard on himself. Runaway is not a solution and may be treating things differently can help.

So Hennie takes first step and draws Smiley Face on his paper bag, then he declares that he is strong enough to deal with his feelings. The most astonishing fact the little boy gets from his bad day experience is that he can control his feelings. He decides how he wants to feel now, tomorrow and in the future no matter what is going outside, what he hears or sees.

Teddy liked the story so much, kids need to learn how deal with bad days and cope with negative thoughts. I think the author perfectly caught the moments of struggles and feeling down. There are also grey and color pages to reflect the boy's mood. We liked how the story ended and what Hennie learned from his bad day and shared with us:
  • You need some calm time to think about your bad day and how you feel
  • You should look at your day from another perspective, re-live or recap like see it from another point of view as if it was another person
  • Be gentle on yourself
  • Only you can control your feelings no matter what other people say or do
  • Take actions, it can be simple one like drawing a smiley face on a paper
  • Bad Days teaches you some good lessons and you are getting stronger

My First Quiz Picture Books For Little Ones | Back To School

My First Quiz Picture Book

Kids love learning new things. I remember the time when Teddy was younger at the age when he couldn't read yet, but loved browsing through books, looking at the pictures and pretending he knows how to read.

My First Quiz Picture Books are fabulous new books from Clever Publishing. They are designed for babies over 12 month and toddlers. The books are bigger in size, with colorful illustrations and engaging content. They are made in a format of quiz and intended to be educational, interesting and fun. Each book contains 150 questions to answer.

My First Quiz Picture Book helps to build kids' first words and vocabulary. The questions in the books are split by categories like Play, Wear, Hear, Feel and others, mostly about children's world, what surrounds them like "What do you wear when it rains?" or "What do you put on your toast?" Each question is presented as a picture with a question(s) and sometimes with a funny description. The answers to the questions can be found on the same page at the bottom also in a picture form.

My First Quiz Picture Book

The second book, My First Quiz Picture Book of Animals, offers a whole set of questions about animals to answer for little ones. For example, "Who hides in the sea grass?" or "This insect has lots and lots of legs!" The book has different categories like At Home, The Garden, On and Under The Ice (that's really interesting), The Farm and other. Bright colors and cute images of animals catch children's attention right away. There are over 150 animals to learn about through the book.

These are types of book kids come to check over and over again. They encourage little ones to learn something new every time time they open them, observe, think, ask even more questions, laugh, realize and discover. When kids learned something new from the books, they can play quiz games with parents or siblings. That will be a lot of fun.

For more information about My First Quiz Picture Books and other interesting books for children, check Clever Publishing. You can also find them on Amazon and Goodreads!

I Don’t Like to Eat Ants by JTK Belle 🐜🍽️🥪| #ChildrensBooks

I Don’t Like to Eat Antsby JTK Belle

If you have a picky eater or someone bored of eating the same food all the time, then I Don’t Like to Eat Ants by JTK Belle is great story to read. It starts with two anteaters arguing about their food habits. Anteater One does not want to eat ants anymore because they are sticky, not sweet and no fun. Anteater Two disagrees, he thinks that anteaters should eat only ants, it is good for their health. Anteater One is not convinced and decides to switch to eating cinnamon bun, grilled cheese sandwich or chocolate cake. Second anteater thinks this is a bad idea because new food can give a tummy ache. Plus, they do not have teeth to eat this kind of food.

Nothing can stop Anteater One from eating new food. It looks like he tried different types of food before.  He replies that he can cut buns and sandwiches in pieces and then chew them. Or he can make a salad from flowers and plants.

I Don’t Like to Eat Antsby JTK Belle

This argument could continue but Anteater One challenges Anteater Two to try new things and invites him for lunch to a restaurant. A sever at the restaurant Anteater Three notifies that all bowls of ants are sold out and offers the guests a PB & J! Frustrated Anteater Two decides to try a peanut butter and jelly, just one little bite. Now both anteaters enjoy eating sandwiches.

I Don’t Like to Eat Ants is a lovely story to show that you never know what you'll like until you try it! It is written in rhymes, Teddy had fun time reading them loud. The book is nicely illustrated by Sabine Mielke and we liked funny ants' images at the bottom of some pages where ants expressed opinions on anteaters' conversations. I Don’t Like to Eat Ants is a hardcover book with glossy and smooth pages. It makes a wonderful gift to picky eater or everyone who is hesitant to try something new, just give it a chance!

The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Scandinavia Children's Book | This Little Street

The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Scandinavia

We love reading books about travels and adventures. Every book has something unique and special to offer. The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Scandinavia by Audrey Smit tells whimsical travel stories about Lily, a young girl who is ready to explore the world.

Lily Huckleberry lives in a small village where flowers grow as big as trees. She is chosen to join Worldwide Adventure Society for her brave spirit and adventurous mood. Visiting Scandinavia is Lilly's fist choice as a member of secret travel society and she can't wait to join new adventures. The girl is welcome to Denmark and invited to Midsummer party! But adventures are not always about parting and having fun, so Lily takes risks to help her friends to save Midsummer Celebration.

Lilly  Huckleberry travels across Scandinavia to recover missing strawberries. She encounters many interesting characters, scary ones sometimes, magical and some familiar from fairy tales. It is amazing that so many creatures and people gladly help Lily in her search. Lily finds out that missing strawberries are somehow connected to Vikings and eager to determine why. Though it is scary to meet with angry Vikings as everyone thinks, but Lily is brave enough to ask questions and finds ways to deal with challenging situations. It turns out that Vikings are not that bad and scary as they seem, they want to join Midsummer Celebration but were never invited.

Teddy liked reading this book, he said he is like one of the Vikings. In the book children discover the Nordic culture through language, traditions and stories like Midsummer Celebration with flower crowns and the special strawberry cake. Some Scandinavian words are used in the story like “Mormor” or “Fika,” which help kids learn new things the same way as Lily learned throughout her journey. There are also iconic Nordic characters many kids familiar with like Little Mermaid, elves, the Swedish horse, Dala and Vikings. We enjoyed the book's colorful illustrations, there are lots of flowers, plants and trees. There are also many funny and lovely images like Vikings Report Card.

The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Scandinavia book comes in hardcover and is so fascinating Teddy wants to read it over and over again.

This is just first Lily’s adventure. Next stop is The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry in Japan. For more information about the book and upcoming releases, please visit This Little Street!

HOW TO BUY A BABY Season 2 - The Journey To Becoming Parents | CBC Gem

How to buy a baby Season 2

Getting pregnant can be harder than it looks. For many couples the chance of getting pregnant in any given month is very low. Lots of them undergo fertility treatments which are emotionally and financially challenging. I thought having a baby would be easy when I was 'ready' but I was wrong. When you did not reach your 30s and could not have a baby that was a very stressful situation. You basically live in fertility clinic and your life becomes two itineraries you take every day: the work and the clinic. You cannot afford anything else, go on vacation, buy something big and expensive, because you have to pay for your treatments, this month, next month and so on.

Everyone around, family and friends do not believe you cannot get pregnant, they come to visit you with a bunch of kids and give various advice, crazy and ridiculous like eating some exotic food or meditating at night on a deserted island. Basically speaking, we did not need any advice, but rather a good laugh would save our days.

In August LoCo Motion Pictures released How To Buy A Baby Season 2 CBC Gem. Season 1 dealt mainly with themes surrounding infertility. The series follows a couple, Charlie and Jane, who gave up having a baby the fun way. They decide to take IVF treatments and survive in the world of emotional and financial pressures of infertility. Hard, easy, frustrating and funny, Season 2 takes an honest look at adoption.

The show How To Buy A Baby gives a humorous overview of the trials and tribulations of “getting pregnant” in the modern age and provides a voyeuristic view of a marriage under pressure and prove that even the most difficult experiences, can connect us to humanity and make us laugh!

Dance Like Nobody's Watching With Sesame Street: Dance Party DVD Release | Shout! Factory

Sesame Street releases offer great content and educational materials. This month Shout Kids and Sesame Workshop released new DVD - Sesame Street: Dance Party. Everyone loves to dance, no matter how old you are and how skilled you are. From furry little monsters to BIG Snuffy, dance is one of the best activities with friends!

Sesame Street: Dance Party includes over two hours of fun stories inviting little ones to move and dance! Nina teaches her friends on Sesame Street the moves to dances from all around the world. Next, kids will get their groove on with all their favorite characters, learning the "Do the Dinosaur Dance," the "Elmo Slide," the "Robot Dance," and "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes"! Though "Head Shoulders Knees and Toes" is easy to dance, Teddy liked Robot Dance and Elmo Slide because with them you learn new moves.

The Feelingwells throw a family dance party, and when Zoe choreographs a ballet in "Snuffy’s Dance," the dancers have to work together to figure out how to make Snuffy fly through the air. It was most like science lesson, but they managed to have fun together.

The dance party continues as the Feijoo Sisters dance the Lambarena with Zoe, Jason Derulo shows Elmo and Abby Cadabby that "Dancing is Easy," Ernie creates a dance video with too many steps, Elmo and Prairie Dawn record a music video, and Murray shows off flamenco-, Irish step dancing-, and Bollywood-inspired moves in a "Murray Has a Little Lamb" mashup.

We like that the DVD presents various dance styles from around the world, and they are performed by regular kids like flamenco dance, Irish step dance, moves with West African beats, and ballroom dancing. A lot of celebrities appeared to join Dance Party with music, songs and dancing. Amy Ryan, Liev Schreiber, Maria Menounos, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman, Sutton Foster, and Wendy Williams join the Sesame Street gang to sing "Elmo’s Got The Moves." More star power arrives when Ne-Yo sings “You've Got a Body,” encouraging everyone to get up and move. Janelle Monáe teaches Grover, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and friends "The Power of Yet" with a toe-tapping number.

There is also free 10 page printables to download to celebrate Dance Party release!

Sesame Street is celebrating its 50th year! Share your favorite Sesame Street memories – and maybe your favorite dance – with the hashtag #ThisIsMyStreet.

Join The Jungle Bunch As They Face Their Biggest Challenge | Shout! Kids

The Jungle Bunch

The Jungle Bunch movie is an adaption of popular French TV series The Jungle Bunch to the Rescue. This animated feature offers a colorful animal adventures in a jungle environment. Once peaceful forest is almost destroyed by an evil koala called Igor. He uses exploding balls looking like mushrooms. The group of jungle leaders The Champs, including a tigress Natasha, decides to punish Igor and sends him to a desert island to live.

Slowly the Jungle nature starts recovering from consequences of Igor's malicious intentions and destructive fire. Trees, bushes, grass, animals and insects are coming back. Maurice, a funny penguin, adopted and raised by a tigress Natasha wants to maintain order and justice in the jungle. So he forms The Jungle Bunch that includes Miguel the gorilla, Gilbert the capuchin, a bat Batricia and two toads. While The Jungle Bunch sounds good, the assignments they got are not always interesting and fun. Once they had to help the animal with skin problems, another time they got to tease baboons. Saving the world starts with small tasks to do and then grow to something bigger and more difficult!

Everything was easy until Igor came back and decided to destroy The Jungle again. He was so mad that The Champs did not accept him as a leader before and wants to burn everything again.

Maurice with his The Jungle Bunch face the biggest challenge to fight Igor and help to save the Jungle against fire and destruction. This time The Jungle Bunch has to team up with The Champ to stop Igor.

All the characters is this movie are animals. It was quite strange to see that tiger Natasha has a penguin son, and a tiger fish as a grandson. But in the movie it was very normal and no one ever questioned and asked why different animals form one family, and I like this the most!

The Jungle Bunch is coming to DVD and digital on August 6 from Shout! Kids, and it’s a jungle of fun for the whole family. We are excited to giveaway three copies to our lucky readers. The giveaway is open to US & Canadian residents and ends August 20, 2019!

Okko's Inn is July movie release from GKIDS and Shout! Factory. The film was nominated for 2019 Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year.

The story follows young girl Okko who lost her parents in a car accident.  Okko's grandmother decides to take girl to the countryside where she runs a traditional inn close to healing waters. Soon Okko discovers that there are spirits live there only she can see. The girl who is trying to deal with the loss is grieving and depressed. She misses her parents so badly that does not want to think about anything else. At the same time ghosts including Uribo keep her company and help her adjust to new environment. Okko wants to be a good host and junior housekeeper of the inn. She learns a lot about hospitality, guests, food service and support. Okko meets different guests, some are happy, other ones are struggling with loss of loved ones or want to find peace and relax. They all come to inn to experience something great, positive and healing. A man with his son dealing with his wife loss, or a family dealing with latest father's difficult surgery, or a famous model trying to relax, Okko's Inn treats everyone equally and rejects no one.

There is not only Okko's Inn in the countryside nearby. Matsuki Akino, Okko's classmate, and her parents run huge Harunoya Inn. They treat Okko's Inn as a competitor and Matsuki is trully dedicated to her inn. Harunoya Inn constantly works on improving their service. Matsuki and Okko do not have good relationship with each other. That is the reason why Okko meets Miyo, a ghost and Matsuki's older sister who died before Matsuki was born.

Once a man with health issues after surgery arrived to Okko's Inn. He required a special diet for his conditions the inn could not provide. Okko, knowing that Matsuki is very knowledgeable about food and special needs, decided to visit Harunoya Inn and ask for help. StickerKid Quality Personalized Labels for Children and Families | #OrganizeHolidays

StickerKid

It is time of the year when all outdoor activities our kids dreamed about are about to start. In just few weeks school will be over, and two months of holidays can't wait to be filled with baseball, soccer, cycling and everything your summer buddy wants to participate in. The abundance of camps is amazing, and we already started preparing our gear for upcoming camping sessions and activities.

StickerKid

Teddy goes camping almost every summer and we know that  labeling his belonging is very important. Labeling kids' items not only protects it from being lost but also saves so much time. When a water bottle or baseball glove is labelled, it is easier to find it, pack everything you need and focus on your games instead of searching for your items!

StickerKid was founded in 2004 in Switzerland by young parents who care about their kids and want to do everything for them. Since that time StickerKid gained popularity for their quality products and versatile designs. We already had an experience with StickerKid labels, and I ensure they are amazing. The company does not use any toxic dyes and glues for their products and make sure they are safe for kids and families. The colors are bright, and letters printed on labels are sharp so you or other people will always notice your belongings.

StickerKid

This time we ordered Express Pack for our summer activities and for sure they will be perfect for back-to-school too. Our pack includes 60 small label, 22 medium labels and 50 labels for clothes, no ironing needed. The price for our customizable labels is $47CAD.

First, we labelled Teddy's music books because they are first candidates to be mixed or lost. Every student at particular Level has same type of books. For example, Teddy, studying at Level 6, has four books, and if there is another  Level 6 student, that person has same set of books too. If those books are not labelled, it is easy mix them.

StickerKid offers many different font styles, colors and illustration to chose from, I think every kid can find something special. It is actually fun activity to design your labels: choose color, style and characters. There are Monsters, Superheroes, Emotions, Halloween, Birds and many other themes. Teddy likes Monsters so he chose a monster for his medium size labels.

StickerKid

The variety of items increased significantly since  last time we ordered from StickerKid. Now the company offers more label packs for kids at school, camp, daycare, home labels for kitchen, wall and nursery decor, door stickers, personalized posters, labels for medications and allergy alerts.

The shipping of our labels was very fast, after few days of placing an order, it was delivered by Canada Post.

I also excited to share a discount code TeddyMom10 to use to get 10% off your order. It will be valid until July 7th for orders placed on Canadian, American and French stores. The messages on labels can be in French or English, we did not try other languages, but the ones we did work perfectly.

Becca's Bunch Flower Garden Planting Activity For Kids | Wagtail Woods

Becca's Bunch

There is no even one boring day with Becca. Wagtail Woods is where a little bird named Becca and her Bunch of friends Russell, Sylvia and Pedro live. Together they make Becca's Bunch and are always ready for adventures. The series currently airs on CBC Kids in Canada and Nick Jr. in US and already became favorites among preschool kids. Adorable characters, funny situations, games and challenges real kids face every day are seen on the screen. We have birds over 10 years, so Teddy learned a lot about them. When series first aired, he said that Becca is similar to our birds and even more adventurous!

Becca's Bunch

Spring in Canada was long and cold, but this fact did not discourage us. Inspired by Becca's positive attitude and adventurous mood we were looking forward to special Becca’s Bunch planting activity. We received a really nice planting kit with character-inspired seeds - Becca’s Sweet Peas, Russell’s Marigolds, Pedro’s Forget Me Nots and Sylvia’s Sunflowers. It is going to be a nice flower garden in the future. Teddy planted each character seeds in Becca's Bunch branded cup. Since seeds were different in sizes, they required planting according to the size. Teddy learned that the bigger a seed, the deeper it should be planted into the soil, for example sunflower seeds are bigger than marigolds.

To make sure we know which cup used for seeds, there is a free on-line printable for everyone to use. It contains all the instructions how to plant Becca’s Bunch seeds and a cut-out per each cup. Teddy cut four circles and glued them to popsicle sticks to mark each cup.

Becca's Bunch

And final step, Teddy watered all cups to make sure have enough moisture to grow. He was so excited about this planting project, that checked Becca's Bunch cups almost every hour to see if anything showed up there and started to grow. It did not last long and in a just over a week our seeds became beautiful plants. I think it was pure magic to watch how plants grow from seeds, little by little they become bigger and stronger.

Becca's Bunch

We continue to watch how plants grow and looking forward to seeing beautiful flowers in our garden. I think Becca's Bunch would be very excited to learn that we built this garden inspired by Becca and her friends' adventures. Because of them kids become curious, learn something new, offer unique ideas and find creative solutions even to simple every day problems.

There is no need to plant the seeds we used for our planting project, it can be any flowers you or your kid likes. Planting and growing a garden are a fun activity for kids, the way be creative and watch how adventurous it can be. Bring a little bit of Wagtail Woods into your home and watch Becca’s Bunch episodes.
