Magical Lands of "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms" Are Reflected in Mural Art in Four Canadian Cities | #DisneysNutcracker

Nutcracker

Walt Disney Studios Canada is bringing the worlds of “The Nutcracker and The Four Realms” to the world of Instagram and we invite you to join it! Disney Studios commissioned four artists in four different cities to create the four different realms from the new movie. The vibrant Instagram walls represent the four Canadian artists’ interpretations of the quadrant of magical lands found in the film which include: The Land of Snowflakes; The Land of Sweets; The Land of Flowers; and The Fourth Realm. The walls are live from Monday, October 22 until Sunday, November 4 in Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto.

Here is more information about the Walls:

The Nutcracker

Vancouver   Waterfront Station, 601 West Cordova St.

THE LAND OF SWEETS is delicious with its gumdrop décor framed by candy cane trees. With bright, bold saturated colours, this realm just screams yummy—even the ground is made of chocolate.

Artist: Tyler Towes
Tyler has worked as a professional mural artist since the year 2000 (and a street artist for longer). With his childhood friend, he co-founded a business called Canadian Murals in 2002 and continued as a solo artist in 2011. Since its inception Canadian Murals has completed well over 100 public works of art for cities, municipalities, and businesses that are enjoyed across Canada.

Montreal    St James Cathedral, 463 Saint-Catherine St W.

THE LAND OF SNOWFLAKES is a stunning winter wonderland with ice castles and alpine villages set against a white-peaked mountain backdrop.

Artist: Monk-E
French-Canadian born in the province of Quebec, Monk-e is a self-thought visionary urban artist, multilingual poet and globe-trotter. Rooted in the world of graffiti and contemporary urban art since 1996, he renamed his art form under the term Calligraffiti Alchimographic.

Calgary    Chinook Centre, 6455 Macleod Trail

THE LAND OF FLOWERS is both fragrant and colourful with flowers that explode to life.

Artist: Curtis Van Charles
Curtis Van Charles is best known for his paintings of animals playfully jumping above the horizon such as his piece 'Grizzlies in the Foothills.' Through his work, Van Charles narrates an authentic adventure through the wilderness near his home in the Canadian Rockies where he finds inspiration for his large-scale mixed media artworks.

Toronto  Union Station, York Concourse
THE FOURTH REALM is a dark and ominous island suffering deep battle scars, with spooky forests carpeted with a velvety red colour inspired by traditional toadstools.

Artist: Bruno Smoky
The artist Bruno, also known as “Smoky” has dedicated his life to visual art. Since his childhood, drawing and creativity was always part of his daily routine. In 2004, he began painting on walls with spray paint in Brasilandia where he grew up, a precarious neighbourhood of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Smoky has gained international and professional recognition through his artistic journeys throughout Brazil, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Argentina, Canada, Paraguay, Sweden, England, the Netherlands, Germany and the USA.

To celebrate the upcoming release and the unveiling of the wall in Toronto, we joined a How to Cake It event in the afternoon, on October 22 and had a chance not only enjoy amazing painting and also meet  the cake guru, Yolanda Gampp and the creator of the wall Bruno Smoky!

Visitors are welcome to stop by The Fourth Realm mural art at Union Station in Toronto.

“The Nutcracker and The Four Realms” is in theatres November 2, 2018.

Join the Fun - Sesame Street Elmo’s World: Elmo Explores! Is Available on DVD | #ShoutFactory

Elmo's World

One of interesting educational releases for kids this month is about our favorite furry red monster. In  new DVD Sesame Street – Elmo’s World: Elmo Explores! from Shout! Kids and Sesame Workshop, Elmo and his friends invite children to explore the everyday world together.

Elmo Explores! is a two-hour collection of Elmo’s World episodes, appearing for the first time on DVD. Using the power of his imagination, Sesame Street’s little red monster explores kid-friendly topics such as painting, cooking, and habitats from a child’s point of view. Joined by the hilarious Mr. Noodle, Smartie the Smartphone, and his pet goldfish Dorothy, Elmo asks questions that lead to fun discoveries. An age-appropriate launch pad for imagination and learning, Elmo’s World: Elmo Explores! indulges children’s natural sense of curiosity about the world around them.

Each engaging installment of this newly-reimagined Sesame Street segment presents young viewers with lessons to help them grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. Bonus features include two episodes of the uproariously silly Sesame Street spin-off The Furchester Hotel and three classic segments of the original Elmo’s World.
Elmos World DVD

Teddy liked this DVD release a lot, he said he learned so much during watching these stories with Elmo. He also liked the classic segments and wish they were longer to enjoy watching.

Elmo’s World: Elmo Explores! is perfectly suited for curious preschoolers and for the generations of fans who continue to enjoy classic Sesame Street segments that were a vital part of their own childhoods.

Besides engaging content on everyday topics, the series also teach children good manners, respect and good behavior. And most of all the episodes are really funny and speak in “kids” language so that even little ones can understand what is going on.

Currently in its 48th season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television and has received more Emmy Awards than any other show in television history.

Sesame Street – Elmo’s World: Elmo Explores! is available on DVD now from Shout! Factory and Sesame Workshop & you can get it on-line on Amazon and at Shout! Factory Kids store.

Comfortable and Soft Kids Headphones by CozyPhones | #PawPatrol

Teddy Cozy Phones

This month we found that headphones can bring much comfort and convenience. Kids watch movies, play games, and do homework using various digital devices. Having quality headphones is very important. Most headphones designed for kids are big, often fell off and break easily, so children need something better, more comfortable, durable and easy to use.

Teddy had pretty good headphones with volume control, but they broke up because made of plastic and our little one took them everywhere with him. Regular headphones do not fit his ears.

CozyPhones come as a headband with headphones set inside the band. The headphones have flat shape, so to set them you just need to move them to kid’s ears inside a headband and the device is ready to use. CozyPhones headphones and a cord have very good quality: durable 36 inch braided cord and sturdy 3.5 mm stereo plug. So it is not easy for kids to break them up: .

CozyPhones headband is made of soft fleece material to be gentle on child’s head and the best thing you can choose the character for headband. You can take a look at CozyPhones wide selection cute characters like panda, frog, unicorn and many others. Recently the company launched limited edition headbands, inspired by Nickelodeon Paw Patrol series. Teddy is a huge fan of Paw Patrol series, so he was excited to get Chase headband. There are also Marshall and Skye character headbands available.

Teddy thinks it is very soft and convenient headband, he says he does not need to adjust it, hold when going from one room to another, from living room coach to his room. He says he even forgot he has something on his head; the headband is so soft and fits his head perfectly. I also like that it has volume control, so kids gentle hearing will not be hurt due to high volume. CozyPhones combine three features: headphones, headband and sleep mask. With upcoming cold weather having cozy headband would be very useful, it will not be probably a major head wear, but in case of moving from one place to another or sudden gusty wind the headband can do a good job protecting kids’ ears and head.

Teddy Cozy Phones

If you travel a lot with kids, then CozyPhones is perfect accessory, useful in a car, bus or a plane. As a sleep mask CozyPhones is very convenient to use, no need to take headphones and a sleep mask separately, CozyPhones combine the quality of both.

Paw Patrol CozyPhones

For example, Teddy after watching videos in his Chase CozyPhone headband in a car, he just pulled it over his eyes and fell asleep. In case kids get messy and CozyPhones headband gets dirty, you can easily wash it - just remove speakers.

Overall, CozyPhones is cute product for kids, comfortable, lightweight and good for children’s health. And they are affordable too, around $29 CAD on CozyPhones website or on Amazon.ca you can get cute quality headphones for kids and adults. With available characters, these headbands are a huge hit.

Cozy Phones

For our readers we have a special coupon code to use to get 10% off the purchase in the selection of CozyPhones: TEDDY10.

The Originals : The Fifth and Final Season Is Now Available on DVD | Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.
The Originals DVD

I would never have thought that being close to the family gives so many issues and force everyone struggle to the level when family members cannot start their own family. This happens at The Originals: The Complete Fifth Season. The final season of The Originals takes place seven years after the members of the Mikaelson family – Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol – each absorb a quarter of the Hollow’s dark energy and flee New Orleans. They wanted to keep their city and young Hope safe. Hayley and Freya sent Hope to the Salvatore School so that Caroline can keep an eye on her.But Hope is so desperate to see her dad, so she takes some actions she definitely regrets later.

Hayley wants to settle everything related to Hope problems, start new life with new boyfriend and live peacefully. But it was just a beginning. Hayley was kidnapped, and Hope is in danger. Klaus returns to save Hope and Hayley. He was suffering so much when he was far from his daughter. Klaus finds that the dark magic is affecting Hope and can lead to killing her. To help her he decides to transfer Hope’s dark magic inside him and then kill himself.

Hope does not want her dad to die, she blames herself in Hayley’s death and does not want to lose her second parent. But during this journey to solving centuries long drama, when there are lots of sacrifices have been made, no way to stop to save own family.
The Originals Hope
When the moment to say farewell came for Klaus, Elijah said that he does not want to leave his brother and they go to another world together, so their bodies turned into ashes and Hope had to accept that. Two brothers, together and forever.

While it seems The Originals have lots of drama and suffering, not everything as gloomy as it looks like. The series are also filled with love, connections and future expectations. Rebekah, delicate and smart, is going to marry Marcel finally, after she rejected his proposal due to family matters. Keelin and Freya want to build a family too and want to have a child together. So, life goes on and while The Originals series came to the end, new chapter for the Mikaelson family opens this season in Legacies. And I have a feeling that Mikaelson siblings can rise from the ash or come from another dimension.

Now The Originals: The Fifth and Final Season is available on DVD. The final piece of The French Quarter home stories includes 13 one-hour episodes, and the 2017 Comic-Con panel, exclusive to DVD never-before-seen deleted scenes, and a hilarious gag reel.

TreehouseTV's favorite Ranger now has own toy line at ToysRUs | #RangerRob

One of the most popular preschoolers shows on Treehouse is Ranger Rob. Adventures of Rob and his friends Stomper, Chipper, Dakota and Sam became children's favorite. Ranger Rob Show is all about nature, adventures, exploration and discovery in Big Sky Park, the coolest natural park ever. The park is one-of-a-kind destination with multiple climates and terrains. Each region of the park has unique natural wonders and animals to discover. Full of energy, Rob zip-lines, swings and even snowboards his way around the park, from Forest Region to Frosty Fields and from Jungle to Desert. Each episode of the show presents the wonder of the outdoor and teaches kids about plants, trees, animals, how to respect nature and protect our green planet. On Earth Day we shared some easy but essential tips from Ranger Rob and hope kids use them in everyday life.

To celebrate the power of nature, Ranger Rob and his friends are excited to join little ones on their adventures indoor and outdoor with new toys, books, DVDs and activity kits. These products are now available on shelves of ToysRUs Canada and Amazon.ca.

We had a chance to play with some of toys and our little one really liked them. Ranger Rob and Friends is a set of toys that include small figurines of Rob, Stomper, Chipper, Dakota and Sam. The series encourages kids to spend more time outside, explore the nature. Now children can take their favorite characters and play outdoor with Ranger Rob and friends. Adventurous Ranger Rob, friendly yeti Stomper, swinging sidekick Dakota and youngster Sam will be happy to join children's journey. Since these are posable figurines, kids can play pretend games and have fun together with new friends.

Ranger Rob: My Essential Ranger Guide: A Carry Along Book is a nice book to teach kids to become a ranger with Ranger Rob. Each page presents essential tips and stories to help little ones to explore the nature and protect the environment, help the ones in need at Big Sky Park. The book is sturdy and have a special cute handle so that kids can take it anywhere outside and consult when needed. At the end of the book, a little one gets special Ranger's Badge.

Besides books and toys, young children can also enjoy a set of DVDs available on Amazon.ca. One of them Teddy watched is Ranger Rob: Monkey Business. It includes six adventurous episodes of Ranger Rob and his best friends. Monkeys keep them busy from the beginning to the end of the stories. Rob and his team do not only play but always ready to rescue and be helpful. When baby monkeys get in trouble in the Jungle, the team comes fast to help. Ranger Rob and his friends are also visit animal sanctuary and build a fort in Big Sky Park thanks to Rob parents who are both park rangers too.

Ranger Rob is fun show to watch for children. I found it can show and explain many nature wonders and facts I had hard time to explain, for example why plants grow that way or why animals eat only that type of food. So now kids can take Ranger Rob show toys and play as if they joined adventures in Big Sky Park.

Plus more vehicle toys coming soon to the shelves of ToysRUs for kids to play. Ranger Rob episodes airs Weekday mornings at 5:10 a.m. and 7:40 a.m., weeknights at 6:10 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and Weekends at 5:10 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. on Treehouse. It is also available on the Treehouse Go app!
