Erase Your Toughest Stains with Purex plus Oxi Giveaway

Laundry is an art, requires knowledge and skills when we put all dirty, messy and stained clothes into laundry machine and take out our dream clean, fresh, no stains clothes. Finding the right detergent is always the task number one when talking about laundry especially for us, a family with small kid who adds up more stains and dirty clothes for sure.

Purex plus Oxi detergent
I was very excited to try Purex plus Oxi, powerful liquid laundry detergent with the strength of Oxi and Zout Stain Removers, specially designed to fight against different types of stains. I used other stain removers and honestly I was not quite satisfied with them because I had to add them in addition to laundry detergent and they do remove stains but clothes become so much faded that you think that with stains the colors are gone too.

This Purex plus Oxi impressed me with not only removing the stains I wanted, it also made my clothes bright and enhanced the colors. I tested Purex plus Oxi on clothes with wine stains, kids puree, sauces and pastas, dirt and it worked great without making clothes fade. Amazing results, isn’t it what I was looking for?

Purex also suggests to pre-treat tough stains to make Purex plus Oxi more effective (for me toughest stains are from cherries, so I am using these tips for sure) : pour a little Purex plus Oxi onto the stain and then rub the stained fabric together. After that leave them for about five minutes and then add the clothing to your washing cycle.
And that’s not all, Purex is hosting The Bid Adieu to Stains Contest: one grand prize winner will receive $500, while 50 second place winners will receive a coupon for a free bottle of Purex plus Oxi detergent.

 Purex plus Oxi Contest

I am also offering one my reader to win 2 Purex plus Oxi FPCs, for your chance, please, enter using the form below. Giveaway is open to Canadian residents only and ends September 10, 2013.

Garment to Achieve a Movie Look

Before having a baby I was a quite skinny girl and I definitely tried to find a good corset for myself. Corset was always a garment for me coming from the books and movies when ladies tried to achieve certain pretty look and small waist with help of criss cross ribbon laces.

Costume Corset

It was interesting to find that corsets became extremely popular for the last few years. Besides weddings and bachelorette parties you can meet ladies wearing corsets and corset dresses at bars and gatherings. They amazingly fit jeans, skirts and high heels so when I was offered to check with a corset from CorsetChick.com, I decided that is an amazing opportunity to take, since I am not that skinny girl any more after giving a birth to my baby boy. And now I fearlessly can wear that piece and feel fine with my extra weight giving me that curving beauty the corsets are created to underline.

My first up moment was amazing selections of corsets CorsetChick.com offer to their customers. It was difficult to choose from such variety of colors and styles, bows and laces. Finally I found the corset I liked Lovely Red Rose Taffeta Style. Second thing prices are quite affordable and reasonable with a quality of the corset I received it was a win-win. It is not that kind of costume piece I bought before you wear one Halloween night and it falls apart after first use, now I got a really great quality ladies wear I can dance, walk, go out and look great in it and it fits me perfectly.

With upcoming holiday season I can easily make a customized corset dress to go out, Halloween Costume or just add jeans or skirt to create a final look. You can also check them out here: http://www.corsetchick.com, I am sure you will not be disappointed, plus they have incredible customer service. In addition to http://www.corsetchick.com low prices you can also receive 10% off your entire order by using promo code "10offsale".

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Teddy at Montreal Jazz Festival

Montreal Jazz Festival Sax

This year was a 34th edition of International Montreal Jazz Festival - the biggest jazz festival in the world. It opened on June 28th and closed on July 7th. We decided to come earlier – on June 26th and return back to Toronto on Canada Day - July 1st.  Our plans were to take Montreal city tour by bus, then take a cruise and see the city from the water, enjoy music and festival spirit and, finally, spend some time with our relatives who live in Montreal. Of course, we wanted this trip to be very enjoyable and thrilling for Teddy and organizers did not disappoint us.

A big segment of assigned to festival territory in downtown of Montreal was dedicated to kids activities. Parc Musical Rio Tinto Alcan was a place where Teddy had a lot of fun. There was a giant piano where up to 10 children can play at the same time by jumping from key to key.

Montreal Musical Instruments

There was also a tent with about 50 real different percussion musical instruments and Teddy tried to play each one  and listened unique sounds. Another place was set up for photo shooting with real saxophone and many different hats and glasses to choose from. Teddy was not strong enough to hold a saxophone and we put it on the floor, but he looked cool anyway.

Montreal Jazz Face Painting

It was a big line to get a face painting. Four artists worked there but they painted with such passion and attention to details that you may think that they were participants of the best face painting competition. It was a several default patterns to choose from and people were tending to pick among them. We decided to get for Teddy saxophone on one cheek and a blue cat - mascot of 2013 Jazz Festival on another.
It was a craft station where children could make a music instruments from different materials with help of instructor. Of course, there was a jumping castle, a playground made from musical instruments and a jazz music workshop for kids.

Montreal Jazz Piano Montreal Jazz Mascot

Across the street inside Desjardins complex there was a musical performance La petite école du jazz. More then hour long show with music, dance and fun. It was amazing, probably too long for kids of Teddy’s age, but it energized us for more activities. All these activities were absolutely free and you could even borrow a stroller without any charge. The atmosphere there was amazing and we enjoyed every minute of it. More posts are coming about our stay in Montreal and what 2013 Jazz Festival offered for visitors.

Woolzies Dryer Balls Natural Fabric Softener

Doing laundry is an art and nowadays requires much attention and skills. New laundry products coming out to the market every year and the reason is that no one ever complained about clean, soft, cared and no wrinkle clothing.

Woolzies XL Dryer Balls

Few years ago when I worked for a beauty company someone offered me to try rubber balls in the dryer saying that they worked similar to a regular liquid fabric softener. I did believe that it could replace a liquid fabric softener but having rubber balls in the dryer was not my choice. When I was introduced to Woolzies XL Dryer Balls, that is what I always wanted to see in my dryer. These Woolzies XL Dryer Balls made from 100% pure New Zealand wool, soften clothing naturally, eliminate wrinkles, what I absolutely love, plus reduces static and drying time by 25%.

With my addiction to wool products, Woolzies XL Dryer Balls are good quality products, if you see them in a store I suggest touching them so you get the idea, also noting that they are all handmade.

Having an active kid makes us to use laundry quite often, now I have 6 Woolzies XL Dryer Balls in my dryer ready to serve up to 1,000 loads (that’s a lot). I am happy I switched to 100% eco-friendly product, which cares about our health, saves energy, time and money. You can also check out Woolzies Facebook Page and follow them on Twitter!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I Saw It on Pinterest - My Ice Cream Soda #cbias

CB sponsored post #cbias

Thats Pinteresting ice cream soda #shop
Pinterest became my favorite place I visit over the last few months. How many creative ideas, tips, recipes, crafts and stories you can find on its boards. What are so addictive and exciting in that comparatively new social media site, my answer is images. One picture is worth ten thousand words. That’s why I was so thrilled when offered to find something exciting, inspiring and challenging on CB Socially on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/cbsocially/, something my amazing fellow SoFab community members created and shared to the whole world. Yes, the entire world can find and get ignited with creative ideas for any event like Celebrations, Weddings, Holidays, Pets, Fun for Kids, Crafts/DIY, Food and much more.

It was difficult to choose after hours of browsing through CB Socially Pinterest boards I like Back to School, Outdoor DIY , Camping (totw), Creative Cupcakes  and finally, my inspiration for "I saw it on Pinterest challenge" became a Darling Candy Ice Cream Soda  found on Crafts / DIY board from Free Family Fun blog.

So I grabbed my little one and we headed to our Walmart to get the supply for our Pintresting project. Our initial inspiration was in fabulous strawberry - pinky color, for our soda we decided to go with choclolate coconut and as a result of browsing through the candy isles we got for filling Joe’s Tasty Travels Trio Mix Chocolate & Yogurt covered Cranberries, Jelly Belly Chocolate Dips and Hershey's drops
For soda glass we found an amazing shape Hurricane lamp, of course, we could not skip crafts isles to get styrofoam balls, chenille stems, Ad tech glue gun and gluestick batons.

Next we charged our glue gun and attached our Kerr’s Cream & Butter Toffee candies to the styrofoam ball.

After we covered the ball we took one brown chenille stem to make a straw, cut it in half, bend it at the bottom and inserted it between the Toffee candies.
And here you are “Ice Cream Soda” is ready. I also made a Google+ Album of our That's Pinteresting! challenge, so please take a look. Glad we always can visit Walmart to make many CB Socially Pintresting ideas a reality, boards continue to grow every day so check often for inspiration.

Sibu Beauty – Health and Beauty from Magnificent Berries

Sibu Beauty
Many centuries women search the products that help them stay young and beautiful. Did you know that sea buckthorn has a long history of treating aging issues and used in health and beauty for more that twenty-eight centuries? Sibu Beauty is a health and beauty company, that offers incredible line of products for skin, hair and nails using as a main component premium 100% natural Himalayan sea buckthorn berries.

Sea buckthorn is rich with essential Omega fatty acids including Omega 7 which the berries have in abundance. Omega 7 is a natural component of healthy skin and helps the production of collagen diminishing with age. I received sea buckthorn nourishing daytime facial cream from Sibu Beauty, and I loved it from first try, it smells so good and I can even say so familiar. My grandmother grows sea buckthorn trees and I remember the days when we spent nice lazy afternoons outside in my grandmother’s garden feeling how sea buckthorn smell filled the air.

Sibu
I like that the cream is absorbed right away after applying as if my skin was so “hungry” that just “eat” the cream food. Sibu Beauty cream helps the skin to boost collagen production which diminishes with age. It also rejuvenates sun-damages skin and helps restore blemished skin to its natural condition what worked great for me since I spend lots of time outside with my little one and travel quite often. After using daytime facial cream my skin became soft, and now looks younger and refreshed.

I was very glad to learn that Sibu Beauty products can be used on all skin types and they contain 100% natural ingredients. If you like to try amazing Sibu Beauty, here is a list of stores where you can find Sibu products http://www.sibubeauty.com/store_locator.php.

Sibu also ships throughout the US and Canada when ordering online, plus use the code “BLOGGER20” to get 20% off your order. You can always connect with Sibu Beauty via social media channels:

PS. I think I need to have a visit to one of the store and get more Sibu products this month, with my upcoming mommy challenge video recordings and upcoming trip to the movies to watch the latest Disney release with my little one I feel that these are good reasons to gain a pretty look and Sibu definitely can help me with that.

Incredible Shrine Circus Shows in Ontario and Quebec this Summer

Shrine Circus Elephant
In July when Shrine Circus visited us in Vaughan, we had a chance to attend one of the show. The day of the show was rainy and brought some freshness and a relief after hot days. Circus it is always feast and fun, it is the way to be a kid again, watch all amazing stunts performers make and be amazed with acrobats skills and strength. I and my little boy saw circus shows in different countries, and we absolutely loved Shrine Circus which was established in traditional settings, even the tent, where shows are taking place, catch your attention right away.
Shrine Circus Acrobats Shrine Circus Acrobat
The show started with Tigers act, which reminded us Madagascar 2 movie, where tigers’ moves and jumps through the flaming loop were spectacular. Then high flying acrobats, jugglers, Trapeze & Aerial artists showed their best sets. It was exciting and scary to see them on the top performing and making all the moves, especially when they were switching from one side to another, or turning, jumping and purely flying in the air. It was fabulous to see how kids performing during the show, their flexibility and agility were amazing.

Clown

There were lots of funny moments and, of course, it was not without the Clown who entertained the audience till the last minute and he called to my mind amusing Mr. Pitkin.

Do Not Drive Distracted - Our Safety in Your Hands

This post brought to you by Insurance Hunter. All opinions are 100% mine.
Mobile technology advances are bringing multiple benefits along with risks while on the road.  Did you know that 8 out of every 10 accidents are a result of distracted driving? It probably seems that few seconds spent on texting, talking over your phone or surfing the web does not make much difference but it does.  Driver’s eyes and mind go off the road during these crucial seconds and put under the risk all the people on road:  another drivers and passengers.  Besides mobile devices there are multiple distractions which can take you attention as well and as a result, cause a dangerous situation on the road, take a look at Insurance Hunter infographic .
As a parent I understand how kid’s behaviour can be distractive during the driving along with a lack of sleep and thinking about other things not related to the driving. So prior to the travel prepare children with everything they may require like sunglasses, toys or games (so you do not need to take them out while on the road),  feed  kids (yourself too if possible) and  take them  to the washroom before leaving home,  check the map and directions before pushing the gas pedal.
Applying make-up, eating and drinking while holding the wheel also put you into a distractive position so please do not do that, multi-tasking does not work on the road. We all can Stop Distracted Drivers and create a healthy atmosphere on the road by simply focusing on driving.
Remember that our safety is in every driver’s hands with no exception; do not risk your life and the lives of others.
