Bobby’s Liquidation Outlet, a huge discount centre located in Thornhill, opened the doors of its main floor last month to large crowds of shoppers looking for bargains, announced the official opening of its second floor just on time for Boxing Week sale – with a large section geared towards kids’ activities and entertainment alongside blowout deals on toys. In celebration of the opening, Bobby’s is offering shoppers 20 per cent off its already steeply reduced prices on all toys in store.
Unlike traditional toy stores, kids can test drive many of the toys available for sale in a designated play area before purchase. Among the other bargains to be had are a wide range of brand name items from toy giant Spin Master – including ZhuZhu pets hamsters and hamster balls, remote-controlled Batmobiles and 360 Hoverblades – at reduced prices. Parkdale Novelty plush toys of all kinds and sizes are also being sold at blow-out prices of up to 60 per cent.
Other deals include smart scooters starting from $120, 18-piece drum sets for $19.99, metal basketball stands with hoop for $47.99, mini hockey tables for $41.99 and PBS Kids brand wooden puzzles for $15.99.
Located at 2900 Steeles Avenue at Highway 404 in Thornhill, Bobby’s Liquidation Outlet has dedicated one third of its 75,000-square foot upstairs space to the kids-designated area. In time for the Holidays, Bobby’s Play Area is offering a wide range of free entertainment for kids and parents alike, including professional balloon animal- making and face painting.
Free craft activities for kids to enjoy with their parents are also available in the play space, which features mini picnic tables filled with supplies. Topping the list of craft projects is T-shirt colouring and decorating, with white T-shirts provided free of charge to each parent-child team. Participants will also be given free iron-ons and sew-ons to decorate the shirts, as well as free highly-reflective fluorescent orange and green safety bands and belts to apply to kids’ outwear. These bands can save a child’s life.
Bobby’s Liquidation Outlet – a total 150,000-square-foot, two-story mega liquidation centre where a Sears store once stood – features goods from former Sears Canada suppliers who are selling their orphaned Sears inventory direct to the public at deeply discounted prices.
