Last week-end we were excited to meet Sofia the First at Chapters, thanks to IndigoKids invitation. Never realized how popular this lovely girl. The line-up was across the store but everyone patiently waited. Here is our photo made in front of the Castle of Enchancia:

Our Monster Jam days #monsterjamTO
Our last week-end was totally dedicated to Monster Jam. First, on Friday evening we were invited to a Private Pizza Party in the Pit. The Party was filled with lots of fun activities for mini Monster Jam fans including a dirt mound building and preparing a ramp for Toronto Monster Jam Show. What could be more exciting than meeting Monster Jam drivers to get autographs and take photos and coloring crush cars!
So after our pizza start Teddy was ready to put his boots into the dirt and dig with shovel something significant. Then we took pictures with Monster Jam drivers, first one was with 2012 Freestyle Champion Cam McQueeen, Northern Nightmare driver, Canadian favorite and second one with incredible Grave Digger, Jon Zimmer.
While watching Monster Jam shows I thought their drivers are quite tough guys because of all these crushing, racing, lifting and rolling over. But it turned out to absolute opposite; the drivers we met were more like our old friends and we were having a good time together at the party.
It was so exciting to stand near these huge 10,000 lb. Monster Trucks; I wish I could drive one of them. If you had a chance to have a Monster Jam show in your city, honestly recommend attending a Party in the Pit before the show, it is an unforgettable experience, just get charged for the rest of the year with these views of enormousness and hugeness.
In addition to all the activities Teddy really liked coloring crush cars, after his art classes my boy was feeling he created a masterpiece since he was so involved and very picky with colours.
So we left the party so impressed and excited, Monster Jam show was ahead the next day!
On Saturday we arrived to Monster Jam at Rogers Center well prepared, we took ear plugs( it was really noisy), flags and put on temporarily tattoos. We could hear “Monster Jam” everywhere in the air the first step we were out Union station. Lots of people outside and inside the Rogers Center that day ready for the roars and races.
The atmosphere of excitement and craziness filled Rogers Center during the show, and this noise made the audience to follow every move, every turn and jump trucks made. The lighting there was just incredible.
Teddy was excited to recognize the trucks we saw the night before Northern Nightmare & Grave Digger and watched with interest at new ones: El Toro Loco, Avenger, Bat Man and many others. We loved everything in the show how trucks fly in the air, races, trucks designs, crushing, speed and noise.
So if you are ready to experience the real drive MAPLE LEAF MONSTER JAM continues touring across Canada, check the dates and get ready to have fun.

We attended Kids-Fest last year and it was a blast. Here is our post about Kids-Fest 2012. My boy was about 2 and we tried lots of rides because there were so many to choose from and according to his age. Teddy was so happy jumping, climbing, and crawling.
Another exciting activities for Teddy were singing and dancing with Suzie Sunshine, she was performing her own songs and all kids were so involved.
And finally we met the Lorax that day there, this charming orange creature. He became Teddy's friend and they spent some time together talking about trees I think.

Mamma Yamma & Teddy at CBC Live on the Road - Wordless Wednesday
Last week-end we had a chance to attend CBC Live on the Road at Sherway Gardens Toronto, the event where CBC fans had an opportunity to meet favorite stars of News, Radio and TV, talk to them and take pictures.
Teddy was so excited to meet all of them especially from KidsCBC: Mamma Yamma and Patty in person. He spent a very good time with them even sitting in reporter's chair with Mamma Yamma and broadcasting Breaking News like a real newscaster.

Teddy's Top Ten Achievements in 2012 (1y10m – 2y10m)
Here is time again to evaluate Teddy’s past year achievements and pick 10 the most important of them. 2012 was busy and full of adventures year for Teddy as he grew up to the point to understand and analyze things.
1) Learned alphabet and reading attempts
Teddy likes letters. He often initiates a game where we chose a letter and look for the different words that starts with or includes that letter. He is able to read by himself simple 3 letter words like “ant” or “dog”.
2) Learned numbers and simple math
Teddy likes to count. He counts everything and everywhere. If there are more then 3 items, then it deserves to be counted. He can count by 30 and do adding within 10 and subtraction within 5. He is maximalist, when we ask how many cookies he wants, he usually says “Ten”.
3) First time on a plane
Teddy first time flew on a plane this year visiting different countries. It was so exiting experience for him. However cars are still Teddy's toys of choice.
4) Diaper free
We waited so long for this time. We went trough many obstacles to reach this point. Big relief for a Green bin and our wallet.
5) Swim better
Teddy is on the edge of start swimming by himself. He can stay on water some time without any help, but there is no moving forward yet. We are still working on it and hope to get there soon. His instructor recommends skipping Preschooler 1 classed and enrolling directly in Preschooler 2. However we can go there only when Teddy turns 3. That mean this winter we still have to join Parent and Tot 3 – third time.
6) Started skating
We waited for this time since last year. We bought all the equipment(skates, helmet, clothes), but when we talked to specialists, they said that it is not recommended to skate before a child is older then 2.5 years old, since bones are not developed enough for skating in younger children. This fall we started skating with instructor and on weekends. Teddy can barely work by himself on ice, but we are getting there.
7) Puzzles alert
Solving puzzles is the favorite Teddy’s activity as of today. He started with simple puzzles at the beginning of the year and now he is enjoying 100 and 200 pieces puzzles. He has many of them, different shapes and difficulties. Teddy can spend up to an hour on his own solving puzzle. You see on his face that his brains are very busy.
8) Dance Dance
Teddy likes to dance. We are looking for dance studio to take few classes to see if he would like learning to dance. He often dances with Wii. See one of his Wii dances below – this one very o-old fashion.
9) Tech’s friend
These days computers and other tech stuff invaded our lives. No wonder that Teddy can easily use mouse to surf Internet and find favorite video on YouTube or browse through favorite blogs. It may be a time to activate parent control feature.
10) Art
Thanks to our weekly classes in 4Cats Art Studio, Teddy started enjoying drawing and working with play dough. He likes spending time coloring pictures or drawing something, and finding a resemblance to it in real life. Next spring we plan to send him to an independent art class where he can do everything by himself.

Teddy & Snowman - Wordless Wednesday
With the weather we had this holiday season, the Snowman was a must to show up in our backyard, plus our Snowman kit was waiting quite long.
