Six years passed since that summer camp adventures when a group of pre-teens found Digimon and crossed over to the Digital World. Digimon stands for "Digital Monsters", and these monsters live in the "DigiWorld". Each child befriended a Digimon so that together they can explore the digital world, fight bad monsters and learn more about each other. Besides adventures in the Digital World, Digimon turns out quite smart in helping to resolve some real, down to earth issues kids experience during school year, at home and with other people. It was great time for young children spent with Digimon at summer camp along with the epic battles between DigiDestines and MaloMyotismon. But at some point, the gates to the Digital World closed and the connection to Digimon is lost. The days continue to pass, children grow and now they enter High School. Their digital adventures seem more like childish dreams and fantasies until one day when bad monster Kuwagamon shows up in the center of the city and starts to destroy everything around.
Digimon Adventure Tri: Reunion is Digimon's first feature-length movie since 2000 and has already delighted audiences and loyal fans across Japan. This highly sought-after film reunites the characters and original cast from the classic series and picks up where the beloved DIGIMON Adventure 2002 series ended. In this release high school students reunite again to protect their real world against bad monsters. While time passed since their first encounter with Digimon in the digital world, children grew up and face new challenges at school, personal life and their families. They have to deal with difficult exams, demanding teachers, family members, rivalry and many other situations taking place in busy teen lives. But the most important they have to find out why the gates to "DigiWorld" become open again.
Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koshiro, Mimi, Joe, Takeru and Hikari meet with their Digimon and now in real world, in their city Odaiba to fight and protect. We watched with Teddy this movie together. The beginning of the movies was a bit too much with that never ending song "Di-di-gi-mon" so I was almost ready to give up watching it, but after it turned out to quite interesting story. Each Digimon has something in common with a child it befriended. Plus every Digimon can change appearance and personality. It was also interesting to see how children collaborate and what problems they face working as a team. I found that it was quite a challenge as each child has own personality, wishes, preferences and responsibilities towards their school and families.
