Get Your Cape On! DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.

With upcoming Wonder Woman movie this June it is great to see Superheroes releases where girls prove to be strong characters and protect The Galaxy against the crime. In the second Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Entertainment movie DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games which was out this May, young girls show great teamwork and dedication.

The Intergalactic Games are almost ready to start and Super Hero High is facing off against Korugar Academy, with a little help from the most prominent DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains in the galaxy. Though the purpose of the game to promote peace and education, competitors try to win and sometimes not using appropriate methods and skills trying to rip off the opposite parties. What to consider as being right when two sisters compete in different teams, what choices to make, towards your friends or your family?

Super Hero High Academy teacher Magnus builds robots for the competition but they seem not approved for use by the principal Waller for safety reasons. Lena Luthor, who works at school administration and is supposed to make sure The Games run smoothly. She steals and use the robots for her malicious intentions. Tension is high, as competing girls not easily get along, the seriousness of the event very important for the galaxy, and some malicious characters looking for revenge and destruction.

Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee and Katana square off against Korugar Academy in the Intergalactic Games, but trouble is in the air as Lena Luthor takes advantage of the gathering of the Supers to enact her villainous plan. It’s up to the DC Super Hero Girls to fight the forces of evil and protect their school. With Wonder Woman’s strength, Supergirl’s speed, Batgirl’s strategic knowledge, Poison Ivy’s ability to make things grow, Harley Quinn’s energy, Bumblebee’s ability to shrink, and Katana’s fearless personality, everything is possible.

DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games is great story to empower young girls and encourage them to explore their own talents, powers and strengths. They see that each Super Hero Girl has own unique sills and abilities to use. They should not be ashamed of their choices and persure the life they want. Often it comes with fights and fails but with great team and supportive teachers, it can be done.

DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games features some of the top voice actors in the industry.  Grey Griffin (Wonder Woman), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy), Anais Fairweather (Supergirl), Mae Whitman (Batgirl), Teala Dunn (Bumblebee), and Stephanie Sheh (Katana) join forces to portray the youthful versions of some of the world’s best known Super Heroes.

DC Super Hero Girls: Intergalactic Games is now available on Digital HD and DVD.
