Join Bollywood Monster Mashup In Mississauga This Weekend, The Largest South Asian Festival in Canada | #BollywoodMonster

Bollywood Monster MashUp

Launched in 2011, and organized by an award-winning team, #BollywoodMonster Mashup is not only the LARGEST but also favorite South Asian festival in Canada! This event brings the best talents from over the world to the Canadian audience.  This year #BollywoodMonster Mashup is gearing up to kick off its eighth season. From July 19 to 21, join three days of music, dance, family-friendly activities, delicious food and be ready to have a monstrous good time!

The full line of talented performers will be on stage for the #BollywoodMonster Concert on July 20, as well as the #BollywoodMonster Family Day and Finale on July 21. The #BollywoodMonster Orchestra will blow people’s minds by featuring top 40 hits from George Michael, Black Eyed Peas, and Gloria Estefan mashed up with Bollywood hits from films such as Ram Balram, Don and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. This goes along with a lineup consisting of internationally renowned Sufi and Indian classical singer, Anandita Basu, original dance and poetry collaboration Triple Goddess, as well as spectacular performances from Shiamak Summer Funk, Shiamak Showkids and Tricube Dance.

On July 21, as part of the #BollywoodMonster Family Day starting at 2pm, there will be a flurry of action to choose from including the KidZone with various games and activities, shopping, finger-licking food, free dance workshops and more. Family Day will also have activities for children looking for a little more physical recreation. Brought to you by Mohawk Park Tennis Club, kids will be able to let loose, swing those rackets and get on the court to learn tennis skills in a mini tennis court! If that doesn’t break a sweat, Heal with Kare also brings to the fold a parent and child yoga workshop. If you’re up to the challenge, throughout the day’s festivities, Shiamak’s dance troupe and Tricube Dance will present free Bollywood dance workshops on the main stage for the audience to get those hips moving and body grooving.

Toronto Area Ford Dealers  are bringing the free mini car rides to the KidZone for #BollywoodMonster Family Day! In collaboration with Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA), and Heritage Mississauga, the #BollywoodMonster KidZone presents an exciting array of free arts and crafts such as creating pinwheels, bowl painting and flyable kites. Free games will also be provided courtesy of #MonsterArts for Youth and The Vaarso Foundation, who will be bringing a giant snakes and ladders board game, as well as teaching kids how to make their very own board games!

This year’s headliners at the festival are Bollywood star performers - Aaman Trikha, brought to you by TELUS, voice of Salman Khan in Prem Leela on July 21 and Khushboo Grewal, voice of Sunny Leone and actor from Carry on Jatta on July 20.

The #Bollywood Monster Orchestra is a high-powered combination of traditional Bollywood melodies and Western rock instruments. BMO is as old as #Bollywood Monster Mashup itself, and over the years, it has featured a variety of instruments from numerous cultural backgrounds: from Indian Dhol, to Chinese Zither, to Cuban Congas. This year, the ensemble will perform a number of traditional Bollywood hits, fused with classics from North American rock and pop.
