Missy Mila: Twisted Tales Volume 1 DVD Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Missy Mila DVD
Missy Mila is one those series that never leave you indifferent. Presented by Mila, an eight year old girl with a boundless imagination and lots of energy. She loves telling traditional stories but in her own unique style filled with fun and creativity. At the beginning I was quite skeptical about this DVD assuming that it is going to be another series of classic tales. But to my surprise after few minutes of watching I started liking it.

Teddy was very excited to see his familiar characters from tales like The Houses of the Pic Brothers, The Donkey and the King and Baba Yaga the Witch. He liked colorful scenes and great quality cartoons. While I knew almost all the tales, Teddy was not and learning some new ones. The best part is that there was not one long story but different ones collected around the world by energetic and imaginative girl Mila. So Teddy was not bored with same characters for a long time, in opposite, with every new story he was eager to learn what was going on.

Mila was not just a narrator, I like that she added some kind of analysis to her stories, asking questions why characters behave that way or how she interprets some scenes and doings. This way it come not only as a pure story telling but also questions why it happened that way and kids do not be shy to ask about it same as Mila does.

I think that this DVD is a very successful collection of classic stories around the world for the whole family plus Mila’s interpretations add to the tales so much fun and sparkle that everyone would love to watch them again and again.
