Kids-Fest Fun 2012

Last week-end we attended Kids-Fest at the International Centre in Mississauga, Canada's Largest Indoor Show with Giant Inflatables, Bouncers and Obstacle Challenges.
This year there were about 103,000 square feet filled with fun, laugh and joy. 37 Inflatable Rides were presented at the Toronto Kids-Fest where 31 of them were new ones.

The admission and parking was free. All  three of us took Unlimited All-Day Ride Band, even Teddy (a Toddler's Band was cheaper and limited in rides but I wanted Teddy to try some slides and rides for bigger kids).

We were riding, climbing, jumping like crazy. There were so many rides to try.

One of the game Teddy liked was the T-Ball with a ball in the air to hit.

Meeting characters was fun too, The LORAX and Veggie Tales.

Teddy watched and participated in the show presented by Suzie Sunshine.

At the event Teddy also visited Kids Town, it is like a playground with a playhouse, rides, slides, cars, fish and pony rockers.

Teddy at Marketplace trying on some kids stuff.

At the end of the day we were so tired, climbing and exercising the whole day, the day filled with lots of fun and activities.

Vaughan WinterFest 2012

The snow outside and Teddy's almost everyday walks (usually rides in the stroller) to the North Thornhill Community Center playground remind us Vaughan WinterFest that happened this month.

It was an unforgettable family-friendly event filled with fun as inside as outside the Center: rides, performances, characters, cooking classes. The event started with official welcome by Vaughan Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua & Members of Council.

Then at the Outdoor Amphitheatre where we watched Max & Ruby's Musical Playdate. Teddy is a big fan of Max & Ruby, he likes their songs and dances.

After the performance Teddy went to play hockey, sending pucks into the gates at RBC Play Hockey Zone.

We also liked fabulous ice-carving figures and sculptures.

Teddy met Star Wars Characters, there were so many of them, but if you only saw how many people came to the event, all Star Wars Characters were busy from the beginning to the end of the Fest.

After that Teddy went to greet and take a picture with a cute Puss in Boots. He's never seen such a big cat.

Please welcome Teddy as a new cerified pizza maker in our family, after attending the Pizza Nova Workshop we expect to have a fresh pizza every week.

There were so many wonderful activities, and all free, one day was not enough to experience all of them:  Fearless – A Tribute to Taylor Swift, Kobbler Jay: The Eccentric Juggler, Doo Doo the International Clown. Toronto Maple Leafs fans met Jake Gardiner there for a autograph session. Blocks building inside the Center, Tim Hortons Midway Zone rides outside.

It was a great event, Teddy was so tired when we came home, so he fell asleep exhausted baby right away.

Downsview Park Winter Fest

Last Saturday we went to Downsview Park Winter Fest to celebrate the winter season. The weather was really nice so we came to the park quite early and first what we saw were horse - drawn Wagon Rides. Since we had a stroller we decided to see all the attractions and then take Wagon Rides.

After a little walk a big area opened to us so we can see how many amazing attractions are prepared for us to explore. We started with husky dogs and dog sledding. Teddy was excited to see the dogs, and they were woofing from time to time that made me scared a little. But Teddy was so happy to touch them and hear how dogs saying WOOF.

Then we were treated with hot chocolate and started creating a winter bird feeder, it is a cone with sunflower seeds glued on it. After the feeder is ready you can hang or put it on the tree for birds.

As for ice entertainments we played with ice bricks, took a look at ice murals, where kids were painting nice and colorful walls, did not allow to Teddy as he is still a baby for this activity.
Another icy thing to do was an ice slide. It was awesome, I worried that Teddy is too little to take it, but I saw kiddos younger than Teddy ridden with no fear.
Teddy also received a little gift – an Ice Kiddy Cube with a little bear inside. We took the Cube home, put it outside the window, watching how cube was melting, and when it was almost water we took our little cute bear home to play. It was fun.

I also want to mention that we met Snow Queen, Snowman, a Bird and a Hula Hoop performer, were riding Snow Mobiles, played hockey, and tried Maple Syrup.

It was an awesome day. Thank you Downsview Park!!!
