The deflated version does not occupy much room, you can put it back in the original box. Inflated float is pretty big, 42"L x 40.5"W x 10.5"H, so if you decide to take it to the water in a car, it can occupy a lot of space, so we just recommend having a pump with you and inflating the float when you need it.
