While kids are young and still believe in Santa we as parents want to be a part of these magical adventures and bring the best experience to them. I am that type of parents who want to touch, learn and test to the fullest the toys I am going to buy. I research, read reviews and ask lots of questions about the products in stores. The more you learn the better gifts you will be able to get for your loved ones. Before having a baby my knowledge about toys was almost zero and I can say that it became as a new profession to me. I have a boy and now I am really good at boy’s toys but what about girls, my nieces, I need to buy them the best and hottest girl’s gifts with Santa’s toy expertise which is not even questioned.
I also came to the point that what I consider the perfect toy for our little ones is not always what they are going to like. Speaking in modern language there are toy trends all kids know and we adults have to follow them. Sometimes inexpensive and simple toys bring so much fun to kids and, in opposite, super expensive and cool find its permanent place somewhere in a basement corner. My advice is to learn what your kids like and learn the hottest toys on the market these days, for example on Mattel's hot holiday toys website, that way you will always be on top and children will have the best play time ever. As a helper you can check out Mattel Gift Guide, it has simple questions to find a gift based on kid’s age, gender, brands and other things.

I prefer to do my shopping early not only starting early in October but also going to the stores early in the morning – big chances it will be less crowded and you get enough time to ask about all the product details. Then I set the rule that Santa brings only one gift per kid. When I see such a variety of toys and think about my boy, nephews and nieces I tend to buy more than one gift for everyone so this year we have to stop that, less work for Santa too. Check the flyers from different stores, it is always good to compare prices and do a price match. And finally check your loyalty programs, this time of the year you can use your points and rewards towards buying gifts. If you are still on the search for perfect toys check Mattel's hottest toys and tools too, do not rush and remember it is holiday time, fun for everyone.
