Welcome Holiday Season with New Friends from Little Live Pets Family ‪#‎LittleLivePets‬

We love pets, they become members of our family from the first day and we spend amazing years together. Right now we have three birds, while they are cute and funny, taking care of them can be challenging for young children. When I first saw Little Live Pets products I was very impressed how they are designed to bring real pet experience for kids. Little Live Pets are more than just toys, they are special and unique friends every child wishes to have and play with. They are created to bring the most exciting adventures to our children.

Little Live Pets

We received three amazing sets and Teddy has such a good time playing with them. The first one is Lil’ Turtle Tank along with Wave The Surfing Turtle toy. It is amazing how turtle moves and feels in your hand almost like real one, even when you touch the shell it feels like real little turtle. It can swim in water in Lil’ Turtle Tank and crawl around. Wave The Surfing Turtle has four more friends in its turtle family and you can collect them all to play, they are all unique and has own name. A child can choose favorite one to play or play with them all.

Second set is Lil’Mouse House, where you can find a cute little mouse having fun in its cute house. Our Snippy loves moving around and spinning in the wheel. It is very fast and makes over 25 unique sounds. I like that this little mouse house can be taken anywhere to play with, plus it is lightweight and easy for grab for children’s little hands.

For even more exciting experience there is another great Little Live Pets toy set: Lil' Mouse House Trail. This one is a total fun adventures for children when they watch how little mice run around. A lovely family of mice including Blossom, Rosette, Snippy and Fripon are never quiet, never tired and always want to have fun running back and forward. They also slide along the ramp, turn around, bump into each other and continue their wild run. The good thing you can connect the Trail set with Lil’Mouse House to build a little city for your pets so they can run and spin around.

I like these toys meticulously designed with strong attention to details, the pets feel and behave like real ones. For example, turtle shell, head and legs moves, or mouse spin. We found these are great toys to teach kids some compassion and understanding about animals, their behavior and even mood. There are different pets with own name and personality, so children find favorite ones. Teddy likes Snippy and Digi the Gaming Turtle and I like Blossom the most.

Overall, Little Live Pets have amazing toys and make perfect gift for children this holiday season. Pets are often best friends and children love playing with them. For more information about Little Live Pets, please visit their web site and find them on Facebook. Available across Canada at major retailers like Toys ‘R’ US, TV Showcase, Loblaws and London Drugs.

The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar Debut & Disney Junior Canada Launch on December 1st

Long-time favorite Disney's The Lion King is back with new movie The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar. It is exciting new journey of beloved characters. The film premiered last week on Disney Channel and subsequent "The Lion Guard" television series will premiere in early 2016. We had a chance to join the screening of The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar at TIFF and meet the director Howy Parkins.

The Lion Guard

The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar folds out in the African savanna and introduces Kion, the second-born cub of Simba and Nala, who is destined to become leader of the Lion Guard, a team of animals comprised of the Pride Lands' fiercest, bravest, fastest, strongest and keenest of sight. As Kion looks to assemble the members of the new Lion Guard, he does not call upon a group of lions to serve with him as tradition dictates, but instead chooses some of his friends whom he believes best exemplify these heroic qualities – Bunga, a fearless honey badger; Fuli, a confident cheetah; Beshte, a friendly and good-spirited hippo; and Ono, an intellectual egret. The diverse team of young animals will learn how to use each of their unique abilities to solve problems and accomplish tasks to protect the Pride Lands and maintain balance within the Circle of Life.

Howy Parkins

The movie is kind and heart-warming, it shows children how to face challenges and make the right choices. There are also good points about the importance of family and friends. The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar is filled with amazing music and songs performed by lovely voices thanks to the composer Christopher Willis and singer/songwriter Beau Black. It was great to learn more about the upcoming new series from the director Howy Parkins. He is a Canadian animator who participated in popular projects including Simpsons and Care Bare. Howy Parkins has been working with Disney for around 15 years. He was a director of preschool series Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Recess, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, The Emperor's New School and Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

Teddy liked The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar and now looking forward to upcoming television series The Lion Guard.

This holiday season Disney Junior will be available across (English) Canada beginning Tuesday, December 1. Disney Junior, designed for kids ages 2 to 7, offers audiences Disney's heartfelt storytelling with contemporary and classic characters beloved by generations. Family favourite series including Doc McStuffins, Jake and The Never Land Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Miles from Tomorrowland and Sofia the First will be exclusively available on the specialty kids network.

Disney JR The Lion Guard Teddy

Along with The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar another animated series will debut on Disney Junior. The fairytale-inspired Goldie & Bear centres on the adventures of newfound friends Goldie and Bear, following the renowned porridge incident of "Goldilocks and The Three Bears."

The Good Dinosaur Movie is Great Story about Family & Friendship through Breathtaking Visuals #GoodDino #3D

I think every story related to dinosaurs is special, it is like a step into the past and a connection to what existed in real world. We can only guess what happened many years ago and only see what left of that wild, huge but lost world.

The Good Dinosaur

The latest Disney Pixar animated movie The Good Dinosaur takes us back to the time of dinosaurs with one assumption that the asteroid did not have a chance to reach the Earth. All the creatures have the whole planet to settle, live and grow their families. The story starts with Dinos family which is about to settle near the river in order to grow their three little kids. Momma and Poppa Apatosaurus teach their children to work on the farm, take care of the harvest and feed chicken almost the same way as on a regular farm. The youngest dino named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) is trying to be a great son and gain the respect of his parents and siblings. One time he receives an assignment to catch a critter that raids their corn stock at night. That particular night Arlo encounters human child Spot, unable to catch him and let the critter escape. Disappointed Poppa takes Arlo on a chase trying to show his son how to follow critters steps but soon the fierce weather takes its turn and Arlo finds himself away from his family settlement.

On the way back home Arlo needs to become friends with Spot and learn more about his past. They both find lots of things in common. Even though Arlo was lost and relatively not too far from his home, just down the river, his journey is filled with numerous adventures and sometimes are very dangerous ones. He and Spot has to fight against Raptors for their lives but meet a Tyrannosaurus Rex family that helps them on the way home. In the journey through the wilderness Arlo and Spot also meet Pet Collector, a mysterious Styracosaurus, who collect animals to protect them.

The Good Dino

The movie has really strong emotional moments: when Arlo and Spot explain each other what happened to their families, it looked like two kids trying to explain the loss in their children language using only signs, circles and sticks. Another scene when they finally cannot be together any longer, Arlo and Spot had a good time together but it is time for everyone to say bye and join their families. I like those moments to refer when explaining some tough situations to children, I can just say do you remember this and that and they understand it right away.

Directed by Peter Sohn, The Good Dinosaur is now playing in theatres and I suggest it to see it in 3D to enjoy unforgettable scenes of nature, wilderness, rain drops, mountains and a river, sometimes with a feeling that they are real.

Shaun the Sheep Movie - From Farm to The Big City & Back

When I first time watched Wallace & Gromit movie, I was very pleased and impressed as the story took me to the animation of my childhood when characters made of play-doh became alive. It was like seeing your imaginary stories in real on TV. This year the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, Aardman Studio, released new movie Shaun the Sheep that we had a chance to see this summer.

Shaun The Sheep Combo

The story starts at Mossy Bottom Farm where life goes according the same schedule every single day: feeding, walking, counting and sleeping. It looks like nothing is going to change the flow until Shaun decides to take the day off and do something different. The things do not go as he expected and the whole farm now is out of control.

The Farmer wakes up in the Big City in his trailer and then hits his head in an accident. Shaun, farm dog Bitzer and the flock are trying to get the Farmer back, but it is not that easy because he does not remember anything. The Big City brings not only new challenges, experiences and friends but also new problems and not so friendly encounters like an animal control officer. While the communication mostly is via signs, drawings and baas, the whole team manages to get everyone back.

There are lots of funny moments in the movie, including iconic Bitzer’s head shake in disagreement and his “Oh, no” facial expression when he is looking through his fingers. Social media also make a significant influence when the celebrity hairstyle is taken by the storm and becomes extremely popular; initially it was simply a regular Shaun the Sheep haircut. Counting the sheep also becomes a hit when everyone falls asleep just by watching how Shaun the Sheep and the flock jump over the hurdles.

Shaun The Sheep Party
Nothing is better than being home and the movie proves it one more time. Family and friends are the most important in the life. It is funny what kids remember after watching the movie. Teddy said that wool is very soft because when the Farmer put his head on Shirley’s fleece, he was sure it was his pillow. We liked the movie a lot, very kind and heart-warming. The film is available on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand in Canada on November 24.

To celebrate this release we are happy to give away one copy of Shaun the Sheep movie to our lucky Canadian reader thanks to Elevations Pictures. For your chance to win simply fill the Rafflecopter Form below. The giveaway ends December 10, 2015.

Toronto Santa Claus Parade Event of The Year #TOSanta

Santa Claus is coming to Toronto this week-end and we can’t wait to join the 111th Annual Parade. It is such a wonderful tradition to attend Santa Claus Parade every year. When we lived on Bloor Street few years ago, we always attended Toronto Santa Claus Parade even though we did not have any children that time. We grabbed chairs, warm blankets, hot drinks and early morning headed to find the best spots to watch Santa and his helpers. Lots of things changed and now we have a kid who every year is looking forward to see spectacular Santa Parade.

Santa Claus Parade

This Sunday we are invited to join the Parade with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. In 2014, MLSE and the Santa Claus Parade began a multi-year partnership bringing together two long-standing Toronto institutions. Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and the Santa Claus Parade will invest $1 million over five years into the community through MLSE Foundation. One of the key pieces of MLSE’s partnership with the Parade is the Holly Jolly Fun Run.

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls Three Movie Gift Set #MLP

Holiday season is not so far away, we already started buying gifts to make sure our family and friends get the presents they love. We were thinking with Teddy what gift to get his cousin, she loves popular My Little Pony series and everything related to them. October month was filled with amazing releases and one of them was 3-Movie Gift Set for young My Little Pony fans. I think we found the perfect gift for my niece, knowing that she is a pretty picky little girl but this set is going to warm her heart for sure. Three DVDs Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks and the latest release Friendship Games are included in one lovely gift set for dedicated My Little Pony fans.
My Little Pony Equestria Girls Three Movie Gift Set

Equestria Girls
When a crown is stolen from the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle pursues the thief into an alternate world where she transforms into a teenage girl who must survive her biggest challenge yet…high school. With help from her new friends who remind her of Ponyville’s Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, she embarks upon a quest to find the crown and change the destiny of these two parallel worlds.

Rainbow Rocks
Canterlot High is hosting a musical showcase and Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy are going to be performing with their new band, The Rainbooms. A new girl group, The Dazzlings, arrive at CHS and convince everyone to turn the friendly showcase into a Battle of the Bands. Tensions mount and a reformed Sunset Shimmer realizes that the Dazzlings may not be ordinary girls and are after something far more sinister. The Rainbooms call on Princess Twilight to return to their world to help them perform a musical counter-spell so that they can win a battle that now determines the fate of the entire school.

Friendship Games
Canterlot High meets its rival school, Crystal Prep Academy, in a competition that’s a long-standing tradition — the Friendship Games. Sunset Shimmer is tasked with keeping magic out of the games to avoid the appearance of impropriety while she and her friends compete against Crystal Prep’s top students led by someone with an equal amount of interest in Equestrian magic — this world’s Twilight Sparkle.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls Three Movie Gift Set

Teddy also likes My Little Pony series, he knows all ponies names, their magic skills and what happened to them during their magical journeys. We love watching the series together, plus My Little Pony / Equestria Girls shows were at Canada’s Wonderland this October.

We followed the transformation of little ponies into teenage girls what takes us to familiar school environment as we went to school and our kids go now. Some challenges Equestria Girls face can be applied to a real world if only we had those amazing magical skills to solve all existing problems. The girls in the series are smart, talented and unique. They are diverse and each has own personality so that every fan can find own favorite to follow. The series are very colorful and bright with lots of music and amazing songs. The girls are fashionistas with stylish outfit and hair, good at studies and do not afraid to be who they are. Their creativity also needs to be mentioned as even with magical powers you need skills to inspire and support other school students and teachers.

My Little Pony

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls 3 Film Gift Set, which includes all three films in the feature-length Equestria Girls canon, is a wonderful gift in a beautiful box set. Now available in stores and on-line via Amazon and Shout!Factory Kids.

It is very difficult to write about cancer. I feel that everyone is connected to it somehow. I was feeling lost, scared and hopeless when my classmate died from cancer just after turning thirty. Lytton Sports Camps Fall Program Activities For Kids & Parents #Toronto

As you know Toronto was the host of Pan American games this year. It was not surprising that Canadian athletes won so many medals, just a proof that we live in the country that supports and promotes active lifestyle. We decided to attend some competitions with our son to show him the best games and performances to give Teddy a chance to check different sports and find the ones he likes the most and interested to be involved in. From the games we attended Teddy liked swimming and tennis the most because of high jumps, precise shots and speed.

PanAm Tennis

I think our children are very lucky to have so many opportunities to participate in sports activities. For example, we have two soccer fields close to our home and a tennis court at the Community Centre. Whenever we get an opportunity to play hockey, soccer or other games with our son, we always have a wonderful time together.

If you ever wanted to improve athletic skills and build some confidence in sports in your child, Lytton Sports Camps is great place to start. It offers sports programs at locations all across Toronto. Their camps are tennis focused and provide sports training of basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee and more! The programs are designed for children ages 4-16 years old for skill levels from the beginner to advance.

Crescent 2015

This fall starting November 7th, Lytton Sports Camps offers a pretty cool indoor tennis programs for children and parents at their Crescent (Bayview & Lawrence) location. The best thing that the school has Adult & Jr. package what means you and your kid can play tennis together and not just play but exercise, learn all the tricks, rules and moves of this popular sport under professional guidance. It is a fantastic opportunity to get into sports as the weather becomes colder and indoor tennis can be beneficial for both parents and children. Certified coaches and staff are there to maintain the fun while still getting the skills and exercise all kids need. This six week program takes place on Saturday and one hour long. The price is $250 and you can get $150 off with adult or sibling registration. I am very excited to join the program with Teddy, such an opportunity to learn new things.
