Last week was quite busy for us but we could not miss attending Our Daily Red wine tasting event in Toronto. After the morning filled with performances, organic and vegan wine was exactly what we needed to celebrate bright and hot summer day.
Our Daily Red from California launched in select LCBO locations across Ontario this June. On July 9, in the afternoon we joined Our Daily Red wine and food tasting at Summerhill LCBO where the Our Daily Red own winemaker Kurt Lorenzi introduced his red wine and answered all our questions. It was nice to learn from professionals and meet other people who love red wine. At the event there was a vintage mobile wine bar set up, making it convenient and easy to serve customers. Our wine tasting was not full without delicious food, pairing organic wine with organic goodies was an amazing experience, thanks to The Healthy Butcher canapé.
This USDA certified organic, vegan, gluten-free and without any preservatives wine is now available for purchase for $13.95. Inspired by Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam, as you see on the bottle, Our Daily Red brings a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Ruby Cabernet and Carignan grapes. The vineyards around California’s Central Valley, where warm weather and well-drained soils, make organic winegrowing very successful. Since red wine contains a number of antioxidants which protect your heart, fight aging signs and bring many other health benefits, drinking one or two glasses of Our Daily Red each day can be very beneficial. Our seniors, who are leading a health-conscious life style, noticed a difference in Our Daily Red, it may not taste like regular red wine but it does not irritate the stomach and does not give a strong headache. It is always great to try different types of wine to see the difference.
We often use red wine not only for drinking but also in our recipes, Our Daily Red is a perfect fit for any dish which require red wine or may be it is time to come up with special Our Daily Red recipes.
The event was fantastic and we left taking with us some Californian warmth and fruits aromas knowing that we still have almost half of the summer to enjoy with a glass of wine in hand.
