Disneynature BEARS Advanced Screening in Toronto Giveaway

Bears

Disneynature "Bears" hits theatres in April and we all have a chance to see 2014 big-screen adventure movie which captures the fast-moving action and suspense of life in one of the planet’s last great wildernesses—Alaska!

In an epic story of breathtaking scale, Disneynature’s new True Life Adventure "Bears" showcases a year in the life of a bear family as two impressionable young cubs are taught life’s most important lessons. Set against a majestic Alaskan backdrop teeming with life, their journey begins as winter comes to an end and the bears emerge from hibernation to face the bitter cold. The world outside is exciting—but risky—as the cubs’ playful descent down the mountain carries with it a looming threat of avalanches. As the season changes from spring to summer, the brown bears must work hard to find food—ultimately feasting at a plentiful salmon run—while staying safe from rival male bears and predators, including an ever-present wolf.

Disneynature Bears
Directed by Alastair Fothergill ("Earth", "African Cats" and "Chimpanzee") and Keith Scholey ("African Cats"), and narrated by John C. Reilly, "Bears" arrives in theaters April 18, 2014, to celebrate Earth Day.

Thanks to Walt Disney Studios Canada we can offer our readers a chance to win one family 4-pass to  advanced screening of "BEARS" in Toronto.

Disney on Ice: Let’s Party in Toronto

Disney on Ice Woody

I cannot imagine a March Break without Disney show, and this year we were very excited to meet again Disney on Ice in Toronto. Compared to previous years the day of the show was quite snowy and cold, but we assumed that new Disney princess Elsa was demonstrating her magical abilities and freezing everything around.

Disney on Ice Toronto Disney on Ice Tea

Disney shows are always big events for us and this time was not exception, we started our preparations few weeks before, ordered a Woody costume for Teddy knowing that Toy Story part will be presented at the show. Disney on Ice Let’s Party introduced a set of celebrations presented with multiple Disney characters including a scene from “Fantasia”, fabulous Halloween haunt lead by a bunch of villains - Captain Hook, Jack Skellington and Maleficent. Next beautiful scene was rather romantic showing favorite Disney princesses and answering Minnie’s question how to know she is in love with someone. Beautiful skating, exhilarating jumps make you follow and catch every moment, you feel like you swing, turn and fly with characters.

Disney on Ice Lets Party Disney on Ice Dragon

Next part of the show warmed us for sure while watching it. Having a winter storm outside Rogers Center and the temperature around -20C, scenes on a Hawaiian beach, palms or Spring in Japan with full bloom were just what we needed. The whole performance Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and Donald Duck were with us always entertaining. When Toy Story characters appeared on the stage Teddy was very excited to see all of them Buzz Lightyear, Woody (he was Woody too), Jessie, funny Hamm and Rex.

Disney on Ice Toy Story TO Disney on Ice Toy Story

Disney on Ice Let’s Party can be definitely named one of the best parties we had so far, with the fabulous skating, songs, costumes, sound and visual effects (lighting and a huge screen). The show brings so much delight and excitement to everyone who loves Disney stories coming live on ice.

Our Adventures in San Antonio, Texas - Day 1

La Villita

After three relaxing days  at Hyatt Hillcrest Country Resort, we had three more days to enjoy San Antonio city. At the beginning of first day we headed to La Villita Historic Arts Village that was one of San Antonio’s first neighborhoods, located on the south bank of the San Antonio River.

La Villita

We checked galleries and shops which offer unique art created by local and regional artists. We bought real cowboy boots and hats at Mustang Grey’s boutique. We were hungry and stop for lunch at Guadalajara Grill that serves Mexican food. Food was delicious and charged us for the rest of the day.

San Antonio Food

After lunch we went to HemisFair Park that was just across the street. The park was created for the 1968 World's Fair, beautifully designed and landscaped. We liked the sculptures and historic homes in the park. There is a great playground for the kids there and Teddy spent some time navigating through massive wooden constructions. In the park there is also the Mexican Cultural Institute that hosts exhibits of art created by Mexican artists.

Tower of the Americas Tower of the Americas Tower of the Americas waterfall

The Tower of the Americas is located in the middle of park. Around the tower is a beautiful fountain comprised of cascading waterfalls. The 750-foot-tall Tower of the Americas provides the most spectacular view of the Alamo City (nick name of San Antonio). On the observation deck, besides the great views, there are some exhibits along the inner walls, full of history and Texas Pride. After we get back to the ground floor we took “Skies over Texas” 4D Theater Ride.

Tower of the Americas front Tower of the Americas San Antonio sculpture La Villita fountain

The “Skies over Texas” is a sophisticated ride that took us on a high-flying trip across the Lone Star State (nick name of Texas). It zooms in on such scenes as a Rodeo, Friday-night high school football game, working up-close-and-personal with a space shuttle at NASA, landscape and nature of Texas.

It was the scariest experience for Teddy. He fights with a bull and face to face encountered a poison snake, that escaping tail touched Teddy’s leg. We were surprised that it weren’t many people around. We wondered where the all tourists went. We found answer on our question on last day of out trip to San Antonio.

Money Making Mamas: Ditch Your Boss, Stay Home & Make Decent Income Working Online Ebook Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Money Making Mamas: Ditch Your Boss, Stay Home & Make Decent Income Working Online

I decided to read this book to find real ways to make income working on-line from home. Honestly speaking, I was impressed with Lisa Kroulik book written in easy and precise style, the book where the author shares her experience in finding ways to make money from home. And note that Lisa started everything from scratch and a strong financial support.

I am not new to this topic of making income working home and most other books I read did not give me that confidence and information I really needed. Lisa introduced many different ways and tools I never heard before from on-line writing, affiliate marketing, blogging, doing surveys and writing books. It was very helpful to read the book written by a REAL person with REAL expectation on how to make money on-line. The book also covers some topics on how to avoid some mistakes and the challenges every person just started or already working on-line face in this finding a freedom journey.

Now I feel much more confident after reading Lisa's book, the dream of working from home is not a fluff when you have required information and the wish to do so. From my side I really want that Lisa open (may be) something like consulting services for people who want to learn in deep how to make money on-line.

Good new that from Monday, March 17 to Sunday, March 23 the author will launch a countdown deal for this book. The price starts at 0.99c, then $1.99, then $2.99 and then goes back to the regular price of $3.99. Take you chance to get this amazing book for yourself!

Teddy at Toronto Kids Fest 2014

Teddy at Toronto Kids Fest 2014

This year was third time we attended Kids Fest 2014 in Mississauga.  Kids Fest is one of our favorite events during winter time, it brings popular shows and attractions, always unique and interesting.

Teddy at Toronto Kids Fest 2014 Teddy at Toronto Kids Fest 2014 Baseball

All kids, from toddlers to teenagers, come to Kids Fest to have fun in inflatable castles, jumps, slide, bounce and play with inexhaustible energy. The themes and design of rides vary from pirates, favorite movie characters, dinosaurs, under the sea to cars and toys. While some inflatable are pretty simple, other ones involves different activities like crawling, jumping and sliding to get to the end, but definitely lots of fun, excitement, screams and cheers. Teddy tirelessly run and tried different rides and did not even want to go home at the end of the day.

Hands on Exotics Safari Science Suzie Sunshine

Kids Fest 2014 - was also a chance to see different shows in one day including Hands On Exotics where kids and parents learn about very unique animals and can even touch them (ouch), Safari Science with different scientific experiments – Teddy was very excited to see all those and even participate. And last one was Suzie Sunshine with her fabulous songs and musical instruments. All shows are very interactive and involve kids. It was amazing to see curious children faces especially little ones who watched what happened on the stage with interest. Overall it was a very exciting event; we usually spend the whole day there and come home very tired but happy. Looking forward to Kids Fest 2015 next year, we are sure it will be fun!

Pets are always members of our family and deserved to have the best in food and care, treated and loved. Our uncle’s dog is everyone’s favorite. Though sometimes he may sound like an angry dog, in fact, he is very sweet and lovely. We always happy to treat him and this time Entirely Pets gave us an opportunity to try their product KONG Off/On Squeaker Bear. It is a bear shaped squeaker and unlike regular pet toys has a feature to be switched off for no sound play. I had a chance to choose a toy and colors from Entirely Pets collection and I think that bright colors of the KONG’ Bear we got were to Benja’s taste. The Squeaker Bear made of AirDog material which is a nonabrasive tennis material that does not wear down dog's teeth.

KONG Squeaker Bear
Kids are usually the first who eager to play with Benja, so one of the popular games with the doggie during cold weather is a rolling and fetch. When the Squeaker Bear gets into someone’s hands that moment fun begins. Now Benja is the honored “bear hunter”.

Entirely Pets carries wide varieties of Kong toys, which are durable and made of high quality material. And the most important is that dogs love Kong’s s toys, therea re so many colors, sizes and designs to choose from, just take a look at their web site.

Art Can Change the World for Better #BuyArtNotKids

Kids Art
Nothing can be more precious than art received from kids. It is amazing to see how they express their inner world into drawings, clay or dough creations, little pieces and many other art forms. My boy likes drawing and he does it quite often, sometimes unexpectedly on a plane, before going to bed or while watching a TV. Once he drew a boat on a table cloth with a permanent marker, first we were angry with spoiled table cloth but after looking at that bateau realized that for two years old it was  technically advantageous boat design. And the wall he painted on another time was the perfect canvas to express himself. Now Teddy draws many different things at art school and at home. We always welcome his creations and I can see how sharply he catches subtle details sometimes we do not even notice. Those facial expressions of family members, characters, shapes and colors make us smile, cheer, enjoy and be proud of.

Can art change the world? Help, support, inspire and give hope? Each year, Buy Art Not Kids (B.A.N.K.) host an art auction to raise funds for Ratanak International, a Canadian charity that rescues and rehabilitates child sex trafficking victims in Cambodia.

This spring, on April 4th, the annual event will be taken place at Havergal College – 1451 Avenue Road, Toronto. It will be a silent art auction hosted by the BANK in partnership with Havergal College to celebrate the connection between art and movement by showcasing art that inspires for a change. The event will feature live music, performance art, raffle prizes, sumptuous food, wine and most importantly a chance to purchase an array of incredible art by notable Canadian artists. Tickets are $75.

If not in the Greater Toronto Area, but interested to help, BANK also accepts donations online. There will also be a Twitter Party with fantastic prizes on March 20th 2014. Hope you join us.
