Teddy at Babies"R" Us Vendor Fair

Last month Teddy and me were so excited to attend Babies"R"Us Vendor Fair. There were so many products from the brands we love and buy like Fisher-Price, Graco,  Medela, Peg PĂ©rego, Philips/Avent, Quinny, Safety 1st and many others. It was  parents and babies paradise with strollers, bikes, toys, furniture, car seats and other necessary items. We stayed till the end of the fair and here are some highlights of our journey.

Teddy is a little explorer who learns everything by touching, trying, moving. At the fair he  enjoyed playing with balls of different sizes and shapes, gardening tools to dig and rake with thanks to amazing spring and summer outdoor activities toys from Maui Toys, eye-catching, colorful and unique. Ball Bounce & Sports (Canada) Inc. booth also had so many colorful balls, that Teddy was ready to play with them all.

For kids play is not just a fun and amusement it is also a source of  physical development and education. Soccer, hockey, basketball - Teddy likes them all.

Riding, jumping and climbing are the activities toddlers practise every day. Young farmer Teddy was ready to start his spring work on John Deere Utility Tractor, jump into kids cars and bikes and show that big boy was ready for Outdoor Adventures. For cool kiddos smarTrike trike is equipped with a phone, so Teddy was not shy and called his friend Pooh to share his experience at the Fair. PlasmaBike and PlasmaCar were so awesome to ride, Teddy did not want to stop driving.

Every kid loves riding on a wagon so Teddy is not an exception, he even took a buddy to ride with him.

Cooking in little tikes kitchen was an incredible experience for little chef, here Teddy was allowed to turn on the stove, open the oven and play with little forks, spoons, knives and cups. Shopping cart was also handy in case we were running out of something in the kitchen.

One of the "real" stuff play for Teddy was a baseball game at Play Station booth, he did not hit it right but was so excited to play.

We were glad to meet our old friends from Star Wars, we met before at Vaughan WinterFest.

We were very happy to be at the fair, happy that our favourite store Babies"R" Us  has such an amazing vendors dedicated to parents and kids, bringing so much excitement to our life and helping us grow up our little babies.

Teddy at Vaughan Mompreneur Showcase

On March 25 we headed to Paradise Banquet & Convention Centre in Vaughan to join Vaughan Mompreneur showcase. There were lots of amazing vendors from Vaughan and the GTA who presented their products and services. 100% of the admission and proceeds from the silent auction donated to Zack's Dream Room, York Central Hospital.

The showcase also featured many free activities for kids including a Mums'n Chums birthday bash, a bouncy castle, PTPA Kids Zone and Grace Announcements activity table for children.

Teddy was very intrigued with a Magician tricks.

Lisa Sinopoli's booth was the most attractive with a kangaroo and a turtle.

Here I am happy to turn to Cooking Topic and announce that next fall Teddy is going to join Petits Chef Academy to be a little chef and learn many culinary tricks. He started practising already at the showcase by decorating a cupcake with Oh So Sweet. We also got a really cute apron for Teddy from Podee Olee to begin his culinary adventures.

It was nice to meet such a cute red-fruit character from Tutor Doctor and learn that there is such an awesome school of rock Rock This Way offering rock music lessons and rock camps.
Parenting expert Nanny Robina and PTPA Sharon Vinderine were the guest speakers I had an opportunity to listen to and get valuable advices on baby sleep and toy safety.

Overall the event was a great success, we had such a good time there.

The Lorax and Teddy

One March week-end we went to watch the movie The Lorax in 3D with Teddy. It was highly anticipated event.

We met the Lorax himself at Kids-Fest and the Outdoor Adventures Show, he gave Teddy a moustache and a tree-like pencil  same as in the movie to play with. The Lorax movie was very nice, colourful and spectacular. Lots of music songs I had a feeling it was a music show.

The Lorax's role was not the leading one and I expected more 3D effects to enjoy. But anyway my boy Teddy, having the same name as the boy in the move, watched the Lorax till the end and we enjoyed it a lot.

What make this movie special and must seeing -  is it's idea. The idea that we need to teach our children to save and protect the environment, plant trees and think not only about our needs, but also about the nature and wild life. We definitely need more movies like the Lorax to send a message across the world, because these days movies sometimes are better teachers then schools and parents.

We got a garden kit for Teddy to plant  flowers this spring. We want him to plant seeds, water them, take care of them and watch every day how they grow and eventually blossom. May be one day the Lorax shows up in our backyard.
